Shaving Shops / Restaurants in Las Vegas

I will be traveling to Las Vegas for work the next few months. Are there any shaving shops to visit? I am also open for local restaurant recommendations. I will be staying in Henderson, but I am open to suggestions in other areas.

Nora's Italian for the Crazy Alfredo is always a gang pleaser.
Hash House a Go Go is another favorite.
The crew always wants a burger and shake at Gordon Ramsay Burger.

I don't know of shaving shops.

There are five Art of Shaving stores in Las Vegas but they probably aren't much different than any other AoS stores. Some of the department stores like Saks and Neiman Marcus have some of the luxury shaving creams/soaps such as Creed and AdP. You can also visit L'Occitane and Crabtree & Evelyn for their brands of shaving creams and soaps.

There are plenty of fine restaurants in Las Vegas and Henderson. What did you have in mind? Steak? Italian? Also, there are some nice casinos in Henderson. Green Valley Ranch is really nice and has plenty of restaurants and a movie theater.

As Hobbyist already stated, The Art of Shaving is pretty much all there is. I wish we had a ”proper” shaving shop in town…

As for restaurants, I’m not really familiar with the Henderson area, sadly. If you’re ever in the Downtown area during lunch time, and feel like Italian food, I’d recommend a cozy little place called Chicago Joe’s. If you’re in Summerlin and have some money to spend, Vintner Grill is a fine place. Also in that area is my recent new favorite, Lucille’s in the Red Rock Hotel. Wife and I recently shared 3–4 of their menu items, and everything was just top notch.

I'm open for anything. I just like to eat at local restaurants when I travel. I like restaurants with a casual, laid back feel. I'm up for any type of cuisine though.

You will probably want to search online for local restaurants in the area to get an idea of what is available. I can mention a few that I feel are worth trying. A local Italian restaurant I recommend trying is Bootlegger Italian Bistro on Las Vegas blvd. It's about a mile south of the LV strip and a very short drive from Henderson.

If you like Brazilian steakhouses you should try Texas de Brazil. It is also located on Las Vegas Blvd just south of the strip in Town Square, a shopping area with restaurants, bars, and movie theater.

As I mentioned previously, the Green Valley Ranch is worth visiting. There is a steakhouse called Hank's Fine Steaks that I hear is good but I haven't tried it yet. I usually eat at Pizza Rock when I go there.

If you're a fan of Gordon Ramsay you can try Gordon Ramsay Hell's Kitchen in Caesars. And if you really want to spend some money you can eat at Nobu in Caesars.

My favorite steakhouse in Vegas is probably T-Bones Chophouse at Red Rock Casino in Summerlin. Another favorite of mine is Morton's Steakhouse, but that's a chain so you may have one in your area. But the one I frequent the most is called Anthony's Steakhouse located inside the M Casino. It's a fine steakhouse but I go there more often than others because it's convenient. The M Casino is located in Henderson just off the I-15 several miles south of the strip.

Matsilainen may be able to provide some better recommendations on newer places. I rarely go to the strip these days so it's hard telling what all has opened that I am not aware of, short of the really famous places like Gordon Ramsay.

There is a place on W Charleston called “The Sharp Shop” that has a decent selection of shaving gear.

Hadn’t heard of this one before, will have to check it out some time.

I've been to Vegas 5 times since 2013....love it when it's not scorching hot out there..I'm not familiar with any shaving shops out there, the locals would probably know best.

Yardbird Southern Table & Bar - Venetian
The Charcoal Room - Palace Station

I met up with Michael P, Matsilainen and Hobbyist at The Charcoal Room when I was in Vegas this past November....the food was awesome and it was a great pleasure meeting them all!

now we need to eventually put together a shaving conference/event in Vegas so I have an excuse to go back out there!
