I'm  still shaving, though I did have to skip a day this weekend . Yep, it's that busy.

I'll try to read and post more, as I can. Definitely not ghosting... Just life kicking my butt.

You were tagged you were missed but certainly not mentioned in the vein we were talking after his post Paul. Do what you need to do and family first.

MaineYooper, mrdoug , Dave in KY -- to varying degrees we have interacted here, and I consider y'all something more than internet shaving buddies. I do not share as much of my personal life here, but I think and pray about what you share here when it seems like there is a struggle or conflict. It's not the same as face to face friendship, but I believe it counts for something in this wide wide world.

Definitely miss reading your often funny posts, but I get it about life kicking butts. As Dave said, you and your family come first. 2019 saw me very absent from posting, as it was the year of the Big Suck. So I get it. And when dealing with life, forum chatter can be difficult to sustain. It was the shaving that helped me at times, as it was a time for me to focus on me before life started up again for another round.

We're here in the peanut gallery, ready to help or heckle, whatever seems appropriate!!

Well put, Eric. I can get on board with that!

My take is that both friendship and community come into play.  Both friendship and forum membership are elective relationships, which we enter into only when they meet some kind of important need for us.  So to rather loosely paraphrase Marko, it can be tough when a forum member (who may be more or less of a personal friend) disappears from the community without reason or explanation.  Our reason informs us that this unexplained disappearance is much more likely online, but our humanity still feels the loss.

Nicely stated, Mike. I think that fits what I feel very well.

I really like this razor, but I get easier and closer shaves with the Overlander. But the CB feels so good in hand, and AlanH did a great job polishing them up. Maybe someday I will relist it and sell it. But both days my face had some nicks by my mouth corners and some irritation when I rinsed.

Today I moved the blade to the 24K gold plated NEW long comb and had a very nice shave indeed!

But again, when I rinsed the lather off using the warm water in the sink basin, I felt irritation in places. All was well after rinsing out the sink and doing my cold water rinse/splash. I am beginning to think my face doesn't like the water at the warmer temperature. I don't use hot water, as that has irritated my face. But with the mornings being much cooler (the heat has been kicking on at night), I think I have been using warmer water as the bathroom is very cool compared to my warm bed and shower!

Hope all is well with everyone. Missing reading posts by the usual suspects (mrdoug, Fluffy, Stubble Daddy, and for almost a year now, Old Sarge. Garrett (gwsmallwood) has been quiet, too. Again, I hope all is well with everyone.

Thanks for the shout out. I've been around, just a bit more sparingly.  I participated in a couple of the pass-arounds this year.  I started a step-study in February and just completed it last week.  I intentionally limited my time on the forums and content creation to focus on that for a while.  I'm starting to work on some ideas for some new videos now, and I'll try to be a bit more active in the forum moving forward.

I found a way to make water proof labels! A sheet can be pricey when only one is needed, but most vendors I saw wanted a minimum of one to two hundred labels! (If you like what I did, PM me and send loads of money to my PayPal account!)
(Just kidding! Don't want Dave to send me to Time Out!)
(Just kidding, Dave, please don't eliminate me!)

This is what I did. I found a nice William's Mug Soap picture and uploaded it to a vendor on Zazzle. And a week later, these arrived (1 sheet of six 3" round labels).

And here is why.

My very own tub!

I got the idea when I found out that the labels on my empty Noble Otter tub were able to be peeled off and seemed like they were printed on a Mylar like sheet.

What I got is more like a photographic paper, but no more paper taped to a lid!

That’s pretty cool and I suppose you could even customize labels to your own specifications! Hey, my soap my label. We could even have a contest as I’ve noticed that there are some vary talented artist - members on DFS. What did the price come to on a per label basis?
