Yes! We are down to T minus 5 days!! 360 days straight. What I like about this countdown is that I forgot about it for a couple of days. This tells me that I am not obsessing over a number goal and that I really don't foresee NOT continuing my normal daily shave anytime soon. Shaving is shaving, but for the last 6 years or so, it has been an enjoyable part of the day and a fun distraction as well as a pleasurable source of expenditures!

Today the duty went to the aluminum Overlander and new Personna CC blade. Simply stupendous! Easy, ZERO irritation, and such a smooth finish! Sylvester had recently played with his Green Ray tribble brush so I took the hint and had a wonderful lathering experience with it and the Canada Shaving Soap! All is good.

One thing I haven't been mentioning as much as I should have is that I have been doing a first pass most days with the Ti Blackbird on loan from David dmshaver. This is truly an outstanding razor, but alas, it challenges me overly much! Thank you very much, David, for the loan of such a tool. (My bank account thanks you as well!) I can do a WTG pass and even that can seem too thrililng, ha ha, but I have answered my question in regards to the face feel of the titanium compared to the SS version. I like it much better, but the Blackbird is outside of my comfort zone. Titanium allowed the Vector to work beautifully for me, and I had wondered about the Blackbird. David's loan helped sort that out for me and I am truly thankful for that!

FOUR!

Today was the Vector and the Feather Pro. It was a very good shave, and finished great. But, I felt like the Overlander was so smooth! Today was just a little behind that. Maybe. I think. Oh, I am so wishy-washy! Lol

T minus Three!

The Vector is a wonderful razor for me. The Feather Pro is performing well, but may not be lasting as long as a Proline. Today was the 4th shave, but it seemed to tug a little. We'll see tomorrow, since I get to do this daily!

Hotter than a biscuit here, as a friend used to say when I was teaching in the 90s in an old school, 3 floors, big windows, and no air conditioning! The tech I am working with today told me we had a higher temperature Thursday than what her husband had in Florida the same day, while visiting with his family!

Glad my wife is from Memphis and insisted on a/C in the house when we built!

Stay safe, stay cool, and stay hydrated!

T minus 2

Going through the lucies, I found this single blade.

I typically like platinum and chrome blades, so I decided to try it out for Shark Week, which is something I have never done before.

First Shark Week shave, ever!
Lather was too loose, so start damp. Blade not as smooth as a Personna. But a good shave!

T minus 1, oh my!

The replacement Asylum injector arrived today, and it shaves great! Mostly what I was hoping for, it being a tad more aggressive. Held lightly and not too steep yielded a very nice shave.

This is the new head. Actually, Phil at Bull Goose sent a whole new razor!

Replacement? Yes. I had what I thought was an overly aggressive shave on the first outing with the Asylum (I believe I mentioned a bit of face tingling after the shave), and I figured it was the Proline B-20, a new blade to me. So the next day, I put in a sChick and had similar results. But when I posted the photo for that first shave, something caught my eye, and it really stood out when I changed the blade.

I didn't notice it at a different angle!

Here is the first head's underside.

I contacted Phil via the Contact Us button on the website on the 20th and he responded within an hour, saying that doesn't sound good and he'd make it right with a replacement. I had mentioned the photos above but was unable to send them via the website. Phil said he'd like a look, so I sent out 5 or 6 photos. Again, a rapid reply stating he'd be shipping a replacement that day. Due to the weekend, it arrived today, but that is still pretty darn fast!

I am very happy and wanted to acknowledge Phil and how well I feel he took care of the issue. This is my first dealing with him, and I know that like another vendor there is a bit of a divide on his reputation. Just posting my two cents!
