Nice read Eric and glad the wife is doing well after the procedure. Nice when things work as intended. Tell her the gang says hi Big Grin

+1 for what Dave said. Your shaving writeup was informative and entertaining, but there are things even more important than shaving, and the welfare of our loved ones is one of them. -- Glad to hear that things went well!

Ruh roh. I forgot to post this

Will it last 10 days? Or another month?! In any event, it will need to be replaced. I have been using Nil for 5 years now, along with Mike's unscented and Mystic Water Soap Sensitive Skin. Others have come and gone, some never replaced and some sadly discontinued. I may try some new stuff. Any suggestions for an unscented soap? Noble Otter caught my attention, as did some comments about B&M soft heart base. So make rec if you want, and I will take a look!

As the day ends, I still have that little reminder of this morning.

Wonderful shave this morning. A new Schick blade in the Parker injector, some nicely hydrated Shannon's Nil, and a 24mm SynBad.

Let's have a beauty day, eh?!

Yesterday's mail had my Christopher Bradley Karve razor in the mail box.  As I posted elsewhere, Alan AlanH81 did a fantastic job.  It bears repeating, so I'll repeat: it is both like getting a new razor and rediscovering an old friend.  The A plate yesterday gave me a great shave, very close and very comfortable. Tomorrow (or tonight) I will use the B plate.

In any event, I am now blessed with some great razors, none of which makes me feel like I need to pare down.
They are the above CB Karve with 2 plates, caps, and handles, so technically 2 razors although I view it as 1 razor! The Vector, the Parker adjustable injector, birth quarter Gillette Slims, and a pre-War Gillette Tech.

Very nice collection indeed! The new addition is quite the looker. Do you plan to keep it shined up or let one patina develop?
