Scentsless Shaver
Oakland, ME
Let me first say that it was Dave in KY post the other day that led me to take a picture this morning. Seems we are both working on eliminating a tub. I want to use up old stuff before getting into newer purchases. For me, an interesting consequence of record keeping is that I can see how long ago I bought something!

Thursday Fluffy Shave

Ken Fluffy made some great brush handles, very unique, and this is one of the latter bunch that have his ingenious magnetic base, that when used with a metal bar mounted on the underside of your countertop, allows the brush to hang upside down to dry!

The ring of soap is smaller, but still loading well. Someday it'll give out, but I am thinking this will be one of the longest-lived tubs I have ever used!! According to my Google Forms document, it's given 61 shaves just this year! Props to Stirling ezlovan for making a product that never quits and is as good now as when I bought it in August of 2021!

The razor is my Type G Schick injector, and may look familiar to you.

(Me shaving in my bathrobe, pretending to be Cary Grant  Tongue ) Most likely the Schick used in Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House was a Type E, given the move was made in the late '40s.

Great pic Eric! I may be further along than you since mine is the 3 oz tub of the Smoky Grapefruit but you are well on your way to Knocking that one out. Well done!

Many thanks to Mike dtownvino for lending me the Yaqi Ghost. I am finding it a very nice razor, mild yet efficient. It is the titanium version and I found it easy to use, no problem finding the right angle.

Finished up the Stirling Sheep and I took a few days to use whatever soap I wanted to, taking a break from using up the oldest tubs first. Today was Canada Shaving Soap and what a great lather it made! Tomorrow, the next tub in line to be used up is Zingari Man's Unscented. It is under half full, so I don't anticipate it taking too long to finish it. I did find that the Stirling Sheep took a very long time to use up and that was due to two factors. First, Rod sells tubs that are 5.8 oz, if I remember, and second, I had a placed a sample of Sheep into the tub early on, so I probably had 7 or 8 oz of soap! According to my shave notes, that made 121 shaves! I think I may be loading lighter than I used to, as now I kind of stop when the lather looks good, rather than loading for a set amount of time.

For the weekend, I used Ethos Saturday with a Push Button GEM and the Canada soap today with a '79 black handle Super Speed. The SOC Taj boar was used both times.
