YMMV

I've read that so many times it no longer means anything. Cliches have no value when overused.

Your Miles Might Vary only applies if you bought a VW Diesel car Big Grin (allegedly)

I do actually know of a couple of guys with only use what came with their intro kit. I would imagine the quite a few fixed income guys actually save money.

Are they also in the forums Pete? It's the forums that got me on a spree.. lol. Forums and Youtube vids.

I know a guy, I joke around with him and call him Buddha. That guy has a lot, I mean a LOT of self-discipline.

I should adapt that. I think I will enjoy this hobby more if I did.

similar to Pete123, I also know a few guys that DE shave and do so cheaply. as far as I know, they're not on any shaving forums...or at least they're not active on them.

My brother only owns one soap, two brushes, and one razor. The only reason he has two brushes is because I sent him a Whipped Dog synthetic but he prefers to use his Perfecto Pure badger and does not use the synthetic ever. He can afford to buy more but doesn't want to. He enjoys wet-shaving but is not into it as a hobby like most of us. And to think, I haven't ever finished any full size soaps or aftershaves yet while he is working on his third.

Neither have been on the forums. One is an old guy, probably living on the minimum Social Security payment. The other is a prospect, I'll introduce him to the board. I gave him a couple of packs of Feather double edge blades and he thought they were the best thing since sliced white bread.

Ha...I gave the guy I know a Rockwell, a Derby, a 7 O'clock green and a Feather. He thought the Rockwell was great, so when he tries the Feather his head might actually explode.

He has only used TOBS Coconut shaving cream, B&M Latha Original, and PdP No. 63 and in that order. He likes all three but B&M better than TOBS, and the scent on PdP best of all, though he really liked the Latha scent too. I'm not sure which is his favorite performer but it's between PdP and B&M, both of which he says work great. I had also sent him a blade sampler and Feather is the only blade he will use. He actually tried Feather first, regardless of the fact that I warned him not to. Those blades might be what hooked him so fast to DE shaving. He couldn't believe how close his shaves were compared to his disposable Gillette.
