Shaving Kit Giveaway

My most prized piece of equipment is my great grandfather's restored Ever-Ready 300pbt brush done by Thomass Burgess. He fixed up the scratches, removed the knot, widened the opening, and sunk in a 20mm Nathan Clark Ubersoft knot. It is an amazing brush. I'm not sure how to upload pics here yet. I would really like to show it off and thanks a lot Chris for giving back to the community. Lot of great guys out there, let's try to get this forum off the ground!

Hello Chris and all of Damn Fine Shave.  I must say that my most prized wet shaving gear has to be my Wolf Whiskers TSE synthetic brush. The opportunity to get this brush is an honor. The great communication with someone as talented as Peter was amazing. I chose a red brush for my daughter Ruby (my most prized possession in life). Unboxing that brush was amazing, the weight and color and lathering was perfect.

Awesome that you are doing the giveaway. Your videos have been a great resource as I have been researching this hobby, I am looking forward to the forum as another great resource. I do not really have a favorite wet shaving product as of yet. I received the MicroTouch razor and Van Hagen soap and brush set about a month ago. I recently ordered some samples of several different blades and soaps. I have been watching many of yours and Nick's videos trying to decide on an upgrade for the razor. The MicroTouch is not aggressive enough. I am enjoying the hobby immensely so far and look forward to more experience. Thank you .

I don't have one single piece of shave gear that is my favorite. I took up traditional wet shaving about 15 months ago. Shortly after I started I when to my parents to visit and told them I had started using old double edge razors. My dad told me he though he had some of my great uncle razors around. Well, it turned out to be a treasure trove of vintage Gillette Razors dating from 1912 to the early 1960's. There was also a Rolls Razor and vintage brushes. I have enjoyed exploring and using all the vintage razors and restoring the brushes.

Oddly enough I don't have any modern razors.

I'd say my my most prized item in my shave den would be my old school Gillette red dot Fatboy. I had received it from my grandfather. Sadly he isn't here with us anymore but it was his daily razor and I'm glad I have inherited it.

My favorite or most proud of is my Ralf Aust Straight razor. It was the first strait razor that I was able to get DFS on a consistently. Thanks for all that you do and this is a great giveaway. I still use a R41 and would like to compare the Ikon.

The most precious pieces in my den are devided between what got me hooked and what sustains me. My Semogue 1305 was given to me as a gift from my friend who introduced me to the world of wet shaving. The other is the most recent Father's Day when my daughter went on the PAA website and purchased some soaps and aftershaves with her hard earned waitress money. That makes it special.

My most precious piece of gear, that's a good question I'm somewhat new still but I just recently received a best silver steel straight razor from a gentleman by the name of nolan kimber. Though I'm new and I dohave a DE razor this is the best because it was given to me from a complete stranger which shows the strength and the bond of the community.
I started wet shaving as a way to stay within standards because I'm in the Air Force I never thought it would lead to me meeting a great group of guys and girls who through extended interaction become good friends. So my straight razor to me is my most precious piece of hardware because it symbolizes what the wet shaving community is about .

My most prized piece of shaving gear is my near empty tube of Truefitt & Hill 1805 cream. It was my first real shaving cream and marked the beginning of the end of razor burn. I didn't start using a DE razor until a few weeks later, but immediately noticed a difference just from that initial switch. While I prefer soaps to creams now I still occasionally use the 1805, but just enough to build a good lather. I enjoy that reminder of how I began this hobby.
