Hello Chris, I know I am probably to late for your give away but I have to say I have enjoyed your videos and advise. I like ya man, your to the point and honest and that's what we need to get back to these days. I have wet shaved all of my life (35years) and I guess it was around 2006 or 7 I started using some of the soaps and after shaves from different artisans. I got my first nice razor 3 years ago from the one I love. she was in the mall in Houston and stumbled upon an Art of Shaving store, God love her LOL, she went in and bought a Muhle R89 razor, Sliver tip badger bush and stand along with soaps and so fourth. very nice and I love her for it but she paid way to much but that razor and brush is was want pushed me to venture out into the wet shaving world even more. so I would have to say the Muhle R89 is my favorite razor and the plisson black badger tortoise-shell is my favorite bush. Shaving Soaps, my fave is Catie's Bubbles Le Piment de la Vie if I spelled it right. and the after shave to go with it. I have so much I can not list them all here, in fact I bought a baker's rack to store all of my stuff on. I use it all as well. I have found I have the same taste as you in tons of these items and will continue to keep trying new on when I can.
Thanks again for your time and what you do for this great hobby.

My favorite piece would be my streamline, once I acquired one the other razors were slowly sold off...i now have 5 streams well six if you count the one i dropped off the counter and bent up. I had to go 2 weeks without one, now my backup's backup has a backup.

So I guess you could say I am a newbie to this whole wet shave scene. I got started a little over 3 months ago and I have been buying soap samples left and right and watching TSE videos all the time trying to learn and find what I like. With that being said my favorite piece of equipment is:

My Merkur Futur - I love it because it let's me get as aggressive as I want

B&M soaps - I love the lather and slickness.

Thanks, I am one of those people that when I decide to do something I go all, that can be either a good thing or bad thing LOL I haven't decided which it is for this yet LOL I have so many samples of soaps from Stirling Soaps, Chiseled Face, Catie's Bubbles, Mystic Waters, I have Full tubs of B&M and LA Shaving Co, and Reef Point..... My wife is getting very irritated with me for the amount of money I am spending lol but I tell her just feel how smooth it is LOL She does love that LOL

rkrmr1963, welcome to DFS. I really like B&M soaps, too.
