Hey Chris,

Great giveaway! Love your videos and am super excited for your artisan review series. Keep up the good work. This forum is a great place and I am glad to see it getting some recognition. I don't post pretty much at all, but browse around a lot.

Anywho, onto the giveawy. My most prized wet shaving item would have to be my Vintage C40 Ever-ready brush. I had it reknotted from Thomas Burgess and got a synthetic Ubersoft knot in it. Thats not why it is prized to me though. I got it from my uncle about a month ago, he was a barber since the early 1960s and used that brush most of that time. The knot was old, warn down, and dirty so I had to reknot it. But just having a brush that has so much history is awesome.

Thanks,
crippie

Just saw this video which was both informative and entertaining. Love your dog. The following is my favorite gear and why:

My favorite razor is the Razorock Stealth Slant v3 in Stainless Steel which unfortunately overpaid on ebay. It is extremely efficient with out being aggressive. It is beautifully made and has a nice balance and heft. The handle will not slip no matter how soapy my hands are. I am a huge fan of Slant razors and I also have the Ikon Shavecraft #102 w/OSS Handle, vintage Lutz Slant, and an Ikon Slant with Bulldog handle. My favorite brush is the Wolf Whiskers RCE #2 Chubby 2 Handle w/ Silvertip 26mm knot. I absolutely love this brush. It lathers as good as my Simpsons Chubby 2 in Best Badger and the handle is breathtaking. These brushes are some of the best bargains out there. My favorite soap is Martin de Candre in the Standard scent. I have over 100 different soaps and none tops this one overall. The easiest lather to generate and one of the smoothest and slickest soaps out there and this jar is going to last forever (the soap just never seems to go down and I have used it about 12 times). I also love the LPV from Catie's Bubbles which is my favorite scent. My favorite blade is the Polsilver Super Iridium which has just the right amount of sharpness and smoothness. I am primarily a Bowl latherer and my shave bowl of choice is my Captain's Choice Lathering Bowl in Cobalt Blue. Last but not least, my favorite post shave product is the Tabac Aftershave which has a wonderful scent just like the soap and it feels great on my face. I am a great admirer of yours and am subscribed to you as well as Busta, Nick Shaves, Shave the Man, Razor Emporium and the Stallion but yours is my overall favorite.

Great video Chris. Leroy have any siblings?

Favorite piece of gear. That's tough. I have to go with my Phoenix DOC razor. Effortless. I really don't have to concentrate so much when shaving. I can even be a bit sloppy and nary a nick. Almost feels like cheating.

Awesome give away, what a great way to attract people to the forum.  My most prized piece of gear is probably the razor that my Grandpa used and his old bottle of old spice.  I inherited them after he passed and while it's nostalgic, every time I use them, it allows me to revisit the fond memories of my childhood that I had with him.

Leroy,

I want to take the evil soap and AS away so that you will be safe. My favorite piece of gear is probably my A.J Jordan 5/8's straight razor with the bone scales. It shaves like a beast and it's a great piece of history. Your video's are great and I value your opinion. I actually was laughing pretty good when you said that people probably laugh at Leroy's antics. Have a good one. Shave on.

Nate

ps. Haven't been on any forum for awhile, they sure have come a long way...fancy.

My prize piece is quite simply my Merkur 34C. It was an impulse purchase one day and it changed my life. I have not stopped DE shaving ever since. There are better, smoother, slicker pieces out there, but none that changed my life (and my skin) so quickly. I will keep it forever and hopefully pass it to my son.

My prize possession id have to say is my 1960's Gillette red dot Fatboy. I have inherited from my grandfather. Sadly he isn't here with us anymore but It's an honor to have in my shave den.

Fantastic and very generous giveaway Chris

My favourite piece of Shaving Kit is my den is a Gillette Black Beauty TTO razor
I was on the lookout for a birth year razor (P2)and found this one lurking in the depths of Ebay
It was really tatty but I liked the idea of doing my own restore and bringing back life into a razor that was otherwise not getting any love
I have quite a few razors both modern and Vintage. There is something nice about a restoring your own razor. Not a replate  but a lot of elbow grease in bringing it back to its former glory and getting it in use again

The Razor itself is a great performer. Solid in the hand and never lets me down. Always get a great shave from it. The adjustable aspect is also another bonus.

Chris, thanks for this opportunity and for being the beacon you are in this community. My favorite piece of gear is the van der Hagen starter kit I purchased from the grocery store because it gave me my start in this hobby/passion. For the longest time I was unable to shave my face with a razor due to unsightly amounts of razor burn so for years I shaved with an electric trimmer. One day I came across the kit and decided to give it a try. I have been wet shaving now for about 4 months and am now sporting a bump and burn free neck!

My most prized piece of shaving gear would have to be my tub of Soap Commander Courage shave Soap. This was one of the first soaps I ever owned and is still among my favourites. Between the smell and the performance and factoring in how awesome the Seiberts are, I absolutely adore this stuff.
