So far I’ve used Monday-L’Occitane Cade, Tuesday-Musgo Real orange amber, Wednesday-I Coloniali, today will be Ach Brito Lavanda, Friday-La Toja and Saturday maybe a GFT or DRH or even Nivea sensitive. We’ll see what grabs me. I’ve been using a Rockwell 6s with an Astra green blade. My shaves have been really great. Honestly, these shaving creams have been on par with the top soaps that I’ve been using.  The Nivea has always been a great performer at a very reasonable price point.

Thanks Sri, for reminding me how good shaving creams can be. I’m really looking forward to trying Wholly Kaw’s contribution to the world of shaving cream.  Happy2

Hi Marko,

Thank you for the shout out. Appreciate it.  Your order with the shave cream is going out today.  You should be receiving the shipping notification by end of day today.

The creams are now packaged in taller jars with an inner disc to prevent the cream from sticking to the underside of the lid.  Hope you love it.

Thanks Sri, I’m looking forward to it.

You mentioned in another thread that scent retention (my words) was better in creams because they’re not subjected to the same heat that soaps are. Are creams then basically a mixture of ingredients without any chemical processes like saponification?

We took a different approach in the making of the cream by eliminating the exothermic reaction from saponification.  Due to the cold process, we could have a better yield in the scenting process as there is zero loss of the scent due to lack of heat.  The process is not streamlined yet and still working out the kinks in the process.

I wish they would offer other scents... Not a fan of the Barbershop (or anyone's)......... Because none of them smell like a barbershop (totally different topic though).
Performance-wise, it's as good as, if not better than, Kaizen. Truth.

their shaving serum is decent.  I use it here and there when I shave my head.  the scent is meh though...cloyingly sweet, at times.

yes, I've seen it. I haven't tried it yet...maybe when I finish up some up my other creams, I'll pick it up to try.

I think you'll like it, performance wise.

Let me add a wholehearted vote of confidence for La Supérieure Dulci Tobacco.  Scent, ease of lathering, protection, and post shave feel - they're all there, which makes Dulci Tobacco a lot of fun to shave with.  I really think it's among the products that deserve the badge "As Good As It Gets".  As for the packaging, I scraped some product off the lid when it arrived, so I do think the inner lid is a good idea.  I'm glad, but not surprised, that Wholly Kaw is now including one.

Living on the edge
2 days ago I saw a tube of Tabac shaving cream in a tube at a perfume discounter store and got one for $3.
Great value and performance.
Im neutral about the scent ...neither love nor hate it....the brush hairs seem to love the smell though

I have generally liked soaps (even the softer croaps) better than creams. However, I have liked the soaps Sri has produced for his Wholly Kaw brand. The Siero tallow soaps are among the best in my den, one of my "super-elite" soaps.

The cream is made from a vegan base. I used to think that vegan soaps were inferior to tallow soaps, but I know that a talented soapmaker like Sri can make a great vegan soap. Thus, I will be watching this thread to see what people think of his new cream.

The scent of Dulci Tobacco is described as "warm and spicy with Tobacco, Vanilla, Nutmeg, Cacao, Tonka Bean, Plum, Sandalwood, Cashmeran." That sounds quite interesting as long as the nutmeg does not irritate my skin.

Yes indeed, you know which brush was last used with Tabac. Thanks for reminding me that Tabac comes in cream form as well - I have a tube and I will add it on to my week of creams which looks to be extending beyond one week.

How was the loccitane? I’ve read online it is very good. I’m an absolute beginner and just trying to learn. Don’t currently have any hardware or software.
