Shaving adventures of a Milkcrate

Goodness, I haven’t updated my journal in a bit. I ran with the Duc de Santal for the work week.



Thankfully the week wrapped up on Thursday and I had yesterday off. Yesterday I tried a sample of MDC Agrumes. Either it was old, it is really suble or my nose just can’t smell it. That’s unfortunate. It shaved well and had a good post shave feel. I wrapped that up with a heavy splash of Florida Water. So, now you are caught up.

That’s right friends and neighbors, I have a bit of GTB AS left over, so it was on deck today. The soap has been used up, so The Fat also got the nod. Great three pass shave that left me BBS for the win! I may hit this razor again on the SB Ark, just because, but it was a great shave. Wrapped everything up with a healthy splash of the aftershave and everything was right as rain! Oh yeah! Life is good!

The Deets-
So I picked this up in a trade a while back and decided to try it on Saturday. I wasn’t real sure about the scent at first, but it’s stronger on the puck. Lathered it up and threw some water at it. Oh man, I hit the sweet spot right off the bat. I had it so slick that I was having trouble holding onto the straight.

I can’t tell you what it smells like, but it’s nice. Both days I hit it for three passes and walked away BBS for the win! Very nice. I decided to run with it this week also. Life is good!

The Deets-
So I tried something a bit different today. Was taking a shower and noticed the missus Harry’s razor that she raves about. Hm … razor + bar soap = old school. So … I gave it a try with a single pass ATG. Wow, that was amazing! A single pass left me both BBS and feeling like my skin was moisturized by the soap. After the shower I smeared on a bit of Nivia ASB and everything was right as rain! That was truly eye opening, I can shower and shave quicker … that rocks.

I go back and forth buying, selling, trading and so forth trying to find where I want to be and I think I just found it. Fast, simple shave and with blade replacements and Nivia refills, I should save money. Man, that’s a win win.

Keep an eye out on the BST for my massive den purge. Don’t hate, I’m digging it. Life is good!
