Another glorious hot lather today and the soap holds up well to the heat. I kept the same gear, so no pic for you. I will also probably use this brush all week to work on the break in.

20 laps on linen and 60 on leather and it was onto the shave. I went with my standard three passes of WTG, XTG and ATG with no drama to report. Three smooth passes and I am BBS for the win! Chased that with the Thayers Witch Hazel. Followed that up with a splash of the aftershave and everything was right as rain. Very nice shave to start my chill day. Life is good!

Well, I was getting tired of the 3017 thing and decided to mix things up a bit. So I changed all my kit out. I haven’t used Sangre de Drago in awhile, so it got the nod. I also just blindly grabbed whatever hardware was around as well.

20 laps on linen and 60 on leather and it was onto the shave. I went with my standard three passes of WTG, XTG and ATG with no drama to report. Three smooth passes and I am BBS for the win! Slapped on some Thayers Witch Hazel. And followed that up with a splash of the aftershave and everything was right as rain. I am really digging these hot lather shaves. Life is good!

Ran the same setup through the end of the work week. The Slim is the first vintage Gillette that I bought and it delivers great shaves. The rest of the kit performs very well also, with no slouches in the rotation. I now have a hole in the bottom of the soap, but it’s high on the sides so there is a ways to go.

I went with my standard three passes of WTG, XTG and ATG with no drama to report. A nice smooth shave and I am BBS for the win! A splash of Thayers after that. I followed that up with a splash of the aftershave and everything was right as rain! A really nice wrap up to the week. Life is good!

Home Front-
The eldest granddaughter is recovering from Covid. Luckily she didn’t get hit too hard. And now my son-in-law has it. That’s different households in different cities. We are getting some weight put on the draft horse too. I had a mail call today from SV also. I think that’s all I have for you today.

Both great scents but I prefer the 70th. How do you and the better half like them Tim ?

I am leaning more towards the 70th. The missus is absolutely smitten with the Felce. I can’t wait to be done with the 3017 so I can smell how they wear on me.
