Shave Count (DE: 517 SE: 9 SR: 825)

Pre Shave-
Strop: Tony Miller Notovan
Scuttle: none
Splash and go

Shave-
Razor: Solingen SR
Blade: none
Brush: Trotter Handcrafts Boar
Soap: MWF

Post Shave-
Post shave lather
Thayers Cucumber WH
AS: Henry et Victoria Lime (sample)

The Deets-
It seemed like a good idea. So I scored this aftershave sample when I ordered the Duc De Santal and it seemed a good day to give it a try. The Fat whipped up a really nice lather too. Three smooth passes and I am DFS for the win! The Lime scent is pretty good, but I lost the scent rather quickly. Between The Fat and this aftershave, the post shave feel is nice as well. Life is good!

The Deets-
Nice late morning shave and Casino Royale was back on deck. I am really enamored with the 2021 scent profile. And it whips up a nice lather quickly.

10 laps on linen and 40 laps on leather and it was go time. I went with my standard three passes of WTG, XTG and ATG with no drama to report. A very smooth shave and I don’t lose the scent during the shave. Did I mention that I am BBS for the win? Oh yeah. I followed that up with a quick rinse and pat dry. Chased that with a splash of the aftershave and everything was right as rain. The aftershave is a bit sticky from the bottle, but a bit of water or a damp face will settle that down. Oh yeah, I’m digging this scent. Life is good!

The Deets-
I may have forgotten to mention that I am burning another week of PTO. Nothing fancy just another stay-cation. I started the week with a very nice late morning shave. Then finished the day with my stepson. We were tearing down an old parts car to sell for scrap. I think I may have a lot of honey-dos, this week, with the missus in town. Life is good!

Just curious Tim. How’s the edge on the Clauss holding up? I’ve seen you use it a fair amount of times.
Hope your Tuesday is going well.

It is holding up very well and I have only stropped it. Great work Ken!

Glad to hear. I’m not one to really “worry” about shave count per refresh. But like to get a idea of general durability of edges.
There are lots of variables that go into it as well.
Stropping, shave prep, beard toughness.
Maybe you have really “soft” facial hair Tim  Tongue
Or excellent stropping abilities?

Shave Count (DE: 517 SE: 9 SR: 829)

Pre Shave-

Scuttle: PAA Brush Warmer

Shave-
Razor: Black Diamond SR
Blade: none
Brush: SV LE Badger
Soap: PAA Sangre de Drago

Post Shave-

The Deets-
Changed the hardware up a bit with the brush warmer and a sharper razor. I have some honing to do also. Man, that Brush Warmer is some ceramic awesomeness. I whipped up a nice lather that stayed warm the entire shave. Three smooth passes and I am BBS for the win! Cleaned up some of the car mess from the day before and got the yard mowed yesterday before the rain set in. Today is cold (in the 40’s) and wet. Had a Post Office run, but other than that, I am just chilling today. Life is good!
