The Deets-
Fairly low key weekend. Spent a bit of time with my brother and the oldest stepson and his wife. I had the Casino Royale splash come in on Friday, so I had to give it a try this weekend. Had a very nice shave and I am still digging the scent too. The aftershave is a Witch Hazel base, so I was curious to try it. I think I accidentally put it on a bit heavy, it was tacky. It did finally absorb and wasn’t too tacky later on. The splash really helps keep this scent going. Life is good!

While unscented, the Sir Henry's Black Tie #13 was a great lather this morning. Bring on Monday!

The Deets-
This is the kit that I have settled into for the work week. Probably everyone knows the performance of Stirling Soaps. It didn’t take long to whip up a nice, wet lather.

I went with my standard three passes of WTG, XTG and ATG with no drama to report. With minimal effort the Tech can deliver a great shave and leave my face BBS for the win! I’ll take those shaves all week long. Wrapped everything up with a quick rinse and pat dry. Followed that up with a splash of the aftershave and everything was right as rain! Life is good!

Home Front-
Speaking of rain, we had a squall line roll through before day break and it finally quit raining about lunchtime. Not sure of the rain total yet. Nothing much to report on the dogs, the shenanigans have been kept to a minimum. I had to go into the office yesterday and I was proud of Turbo for not having an accident. I was worried because she was going to have to hold it for a bit until I got home. She may turn out to be a decent guard dog, because she barks at everything. I have been doing some den cleaning too and will put some stuff up on the BST soon. I think that’s all I have at the moment.

It's good to hear that Turbo is settling in. A dog that fits is a blessing, even if the fit is a tight one. A dog that doesn't is a dilemma.

So … it’s like Groundhog Day around here. I did use the same setup for the work week and scored some very nice shaves. TGIF! Today was supposed to be my short work day, but I am just now getting off work. Time to feed the dogs, horses and me. I am a bachelor again for the weekend, while the missus visits her Aunt. I think we will survive. Life is good!
