The Deets-

This just sounded like a good shave today and it was. A moment of calm during the storm. Last Saturday we went to our granddaughters birthday party. The next day we were told that we were exposed to Covid. Great. So we have been self quarantined since then. Well it looks like it hit the missus yesterday. She has a bunch of symptoms and a fever of 100.8 which is real high for her. So far the symptoms haven’t been bad enough to warrant a trip to the hospital. But we shall see. Hopefully our vaccinations will keep the severity tamped down some. Please send prayers, positive energy, good vibes, happy thoughts or whatever you have, send it her direction.

Oh and the little terror is still chewing things up too. Life is good!

That's really tough Tim.  You and the missus will be in my prayers too.  If it makes you feel any better, you have an inspiringly good attitude for a man whose hands are as full as yours.

Thank you Mike. The Lord will not give us more than we can bear.

Amen to that, brother. Sometimes I think that He overestimates me, but I make it, thanks to Him!

Yikes Tim. It's exceedingly difficult, even with the vaccine, to know what's safe and unsafe. A lot of times it's a crapshoot.

I am so sorry to hear about the missus. As information comes out, and time goes on, they definitely change what they perceive is the effect of the vaccine (chance of catching and transmission). They have, luckily, been pretty stalwart on the fact that it will lessen the effect. I'm hoping this is the case and the wife recovers quickly. My prayers are with you both.

Glad the shave was enjoyable. Sometimes those 20-30 minutes are all the reprieve we get from these stressful times. Again, I hope the storm passes by quick and life can return to a happy normal.

Be safe.

The Deets-
I went with a lunchtime shave and it was nice. Three smooth passes and I am BBS for the win! So nice. Not sure why I am using an unscented soap again this week … but I am … no complaints here. The Lavender was a nice touch also.

Yesterday I used my Solingen straight and it was just ok. It needs a bit of time on the stones. Yesterday I was also finally able to get the missus to eat something. She hadn’t eaten since Friday night. I made her chicken soup at lunch and she ate most of it, then off to the bathroom she went. I was thankful that she ate some. She was then back to bed for the rest of the day/night. Also had a clogged kitchen sink that required me to take the pipes apart and snake it … my fault. Today it looks like the new pup is throwing up and rain is moving in. Good grief. The missus has been up a couple of times today, but hasn’t eaten yet. I’ll have to see if I can feed her a bit later. That’s all I know today. Life is good!
