A den purge?! Man, I am going to have to keep an eye out for that one.

Well, it is part of a process of letting go. I have enough products that I love that I decided to go through the den with the mindset that if I don’t love it then it needs to go. I managed to hold to that for about half of the software and ended up with a banana box full of stuff that will go on the block. I’ll get to the hardware this week, but I think a good amount of the 5/8 full hollows will go since I’ve found that I like larger blades and/or heavier grinds.

Shave Count (DE: 477 SE: 9 SR: 695)

Pre Shave-
Strop: Tony Miller Plain Vanilla
Scuttle: none
Splash and go

Shave-
Razor: Henckels SR
Blade: none
Brush: Stirling Boar
Soap: WSP Gaelic Tweed

Post Shave-
Post shave lather
AS: WSP Gaelic Tweed

The Deets-
Back on the WSP again for the work week. This doesn’t look like a very deep tub, but I think it’s 4 feet deep ... goodness. Hopefully I will find the bottom this week. I like the scent and the performance of this base, but I would like to finish another tub.

Also had a really nice shave to start the day. Three smooth passes and I am BBS for the win! The hinge pin is getting loose on this razor, so I’ll have to tweak that. Wrapped it up with a splash of the aftershave and everything was right as rain. You know I’m going to tell ya. Life is good!

Home Front-
So .. I picked up a ILR hone to play with and it came in today. It’s a 6x2x3/4, I think. I didn’t need another hone, but I’ll give it a try. I also have another strop coming from Tony Miller. This one will be horse hide with the flax linen component ... can’t wait to try it. I scored both of these by selling that Silverleaf razor, so no out of pocket ... win / win. I think that’s all I have today.

Razor: Black Diamond SR
Blade: none
Brush: Stirling Boar
Soap: WSP Gaelic Tweed

Post Shave-

The Deets-
Grabbed the Black Diamond this morning. The Henckels is in timeout because she gave me a love bite on the neck for not paying attention. My standard load time is now revealing some tin in spots, so I am on my way.

A nice three pass shave today and I am BBS for the win! I was so ready for the weekend, but now we are doing system upgrades and working all weekend. That sucks ... but life is good!

I really like the scent and this will be a repurchase. I may also try the Mahogany.
