Shave Count (DE: 464 SE: 9 SR: 627)

Pre Shave-
Strop: Tony Miller Plain Vanilla
Scuttle: PAA Brush Warmer
Splash and go

Shave-
Razor: Reynolds SR
Blade: none
Brush: Knothead Boar
Soap: WSP Gaelic Tweed

Post Shave-
Post shave lather
AS: WSP Gaelic Tweed

The Process-
I am still using the Gaelic Tweed and probably will until the end of the week. I’m trying to get back into the work week shaves with one soap/AS. Then the random weekend shaves to mix it up a bit.

I started this shave with another hot shower and that was what I needed on another miserable cold day. We can have 70 degree days in a Texas winter, what’s this cold crap? Two of our family members had busted water lines and are without water. Another hasn’t had power in three days. We have offered them all refuge, but they are toughing it out. We have been blessed with propane and electricity. And it looks like it might start warming up soon. Life is good!

Very sorry your relatives are in harm's way, Tim.  Over here on the east coast, the evening news is not sugar coating it either.  The last newscast I heard said 4 million people were still without power in Texas, and as I write this, poweroutage.us lists over 2.4 million outages in the state.  Incidentally, it looks like the "cold crap" is headed our way.  Beginning overnight, a huge snow dump is forecast for Washington DC and parts north, while a major snow-into-ice freeze-up and cluster_flock is on tap for parts south, where yours truly lives.  We've made the best preparations we could, so at this point we'll be battening down the hatches and hopefully staying warm, safe, and in touch.

Here's hoping you do the same. We will be thinking about you and hoping your lights stay on, and other fun things like that.
