OK, Folks! I wanted to do a pass around with a straight razor, but I have come to the conclusion that there really is not a reliable way to do this, and still ensure that everyone gets a shave-ready edge to use, AND a well-stropped edge to shave with. Short of having everyone shave with a straight for a week and sending it back to me for refreshing, then me send it to the next person...it just won;t work. I can;t afford that kind of shipping, and I don;t want anyone to have a bad experience due to a rolled edge or something. SO!...
This is a shavette passaround. In the box. I am including a PAA Ibis shavette, a couple tucks of Gillette 7:00 green(Russia) blades, and a tub of B&M Latha Sandalwood soap.

This shavette uses half DE blades. Folks are asked to supply extra blades if they can, or to use their own if they desire. These are the blades I prefer for this shavette, which is why I am tossing some in the box.
RULES!!
OPEN TO CONUS ONLY!
ONE WEEK! You get the shavette and the soap for 1 week. DO NOT GO OVER!! It is unfair to the other participants to go over your alotted time. Keep it moving along so everyone has a chance to play.
Use the soap if you'd like, or not, as you see fit. This soap was generously given to me by andrewjs18 because of the B&M Reserve confusion. I have a tub already, and with his blessing, I am including this tub for the passaround. Use it or don;t as you see fit. DO NOT SCALP IT FOR PERSONAL USE. Again...it's just not fair to everyone else.
You are responsible for cleaning the razor before you send it on to the next person. I have sterilized the razor before the first shipment. You will be responsible to pay to ship it to the next person in line. YOU MUST PROVIDE A TRACKING NUMBER FOR THE SHIPMENT. Each shipment must include a priority tracking number so the progress can be followed by the next recipient. Please ship in a box, not an envelope.
Post your experiences here. The point of a passaround is for everyone to be able to try something new and maybe share some new experiences. Please do that in this thread, so that we might all learn from your experiences. It just works better that way.
If you do not want to use the shavette, but want to try this soap, I encourage you to join the passaround for that purpose. If you don;t want to use the soap, but want to use the shavette, I encourage you join the passaround for this purpose. If you don;t want to use either the shavette OR the soap, but want to try a 7:00 Green blade, I encourage you to join the passaround for that purpose. This is open for anyone wanting to try any or all of the products included.
