That said, in a Shavemac knot, I would still and definitely choose the bulb over a fan.

If you're ok getting two knots, then I suggest a regular 2band silvertip and a unique.  I have both.

Just my thoughts

Thank you sir that sounds like a good idea. I might do that I prefer bulbs also.

I made a decision today to order a 28mm bulb unique 54mm loft. I will see how I like that and possibly get another in the future. Thanks to those who gave me information to help me. I will let ya'll know what I think about it and post some pictures after I set it in a handle.

I have a 26mm Unique knot and it's probably my least favorite badger knot I own.

Wow.  Sorry to hear that.  Maybe it's the handle that makes it the least favored?

Well I got my two band silvertip unique 28mm this past week and got it set tonight. It is set at 53-54. I look forward to using it over the next week or so.  It is a beautiful knot, I think I am going to love it.

Hi guys unfortunately I just brought a shavemac brush for the first time, I did try to contact the owner many times but never had a reply, I got the 2 band silvertip, however I did request a unique knot but didn't get it Sad IV used the brush 3 times and it is just awful really can't understand why people like it, it's so scritchy, and didn't splay easily and the hair just feels awful, was wondering if the brush gets better when it breaks in?

Did you buy a new one or used one? I think you will experience some more softening and break in. How soft do you prefer your brushes?

I brought it new, I used it again today and feels like it's breaking in abit, I like it soft but the main thing I hate is scritch
