There’s been some great discussion in this thread and there is certainly nothing wrong with disagreement, but please stop with the ad hominem attacks.

Thanks

You seem to be in a cult of sorts...and I know you've run out of rational arguments when you start
targeting me for "negativity".

I continue to marvel at my good fortune to be able to enjoy so many great razors that put a smile
on my face every day. (So much to be positive and thankful for.)

Enjoy your marvel razor that chalked up the most product returns in recent memory.

The only reason I speak up when people like you gaslight on threads like this is to make it clear that
not everyone is buying the yarns you're spinning.
I recall how you poisoned this thread early on with your name calling and insults. You are nothing but an online bully.  Many in here have complimented Eric on his achievement but when I do you never fail to jump in to add your uneducated opinion, call me names, try to belittle my support for a real achievement you could never pull off yourself.  You have never tried the razor or the prototype but you can't even acknowledge that.

Your opinion is worthless and caustic. One more time: A simple question, have you ever personally used the razor or prototype? Can't answer that?

You can go on kicking the man when he is down but I will continue to lift him up so he will not be discouraged about trying again with another release.

I agree wholeheartedly.

I don't take insults well.  Negative Nancy has targeted my commentary, my honesty, my character.  His commentary is poison to reasoned debate.  I will not be bullied into submission by someone who lives for insult and provocation. Time to start ignoring him altogether and get back to discussing how to encourage Eric to get back on his feet and get to work on either a prototype run or V2.

Well, you are welcome to your opinion (and name-calling) but not your own facts.

You are touting a flop razor that had the most customer returns ever seen in recent history
as some sort of achievement. And do stop with this ridiculous rule of yours where one can't
have an opinion of a product without trying it personally....I have followed the opinions of
everyone who has commented on this razor and it is clear that it failed in its launch.

There is nothing vindictive in pointing this out, the maker is welcome to try again, preferably without
you trying to hard sell when nothing has been revealed to the public.

I am fully conversant with the mantra of "Fail Fast" and I can tell you this ain't it.

What do you mean kick a man when he's down? Don't be dramatic. This is the price of entry
if you bring a product to market...people have a right to critique your performance. If you or Eric
don't like it, you need to toughen up...I do not believe in lavishing praise on an undeserving product
and when I see someone like yourself do this, I'm well within the rules of this forum to call it out.

Do you think it is your duty to rudely "call out" a fellow forum member who you disagree with?  I have praised the prototype design while appropriately noting the redesign resulted in a step back yet you have called me a shill and worse.  I am a fan of Eric for what he accomplished, a misstep at the end did not change my admiration for his work.

You made it personal but I propose we bury the hatchet.  Here is a chance for you to add something positive to the discussion.  Show us you have a good natured side with some good natured commentary.  What do you see as admirable about Eric's achievements of prototype and LE?  How do think he should proceed?  Prototype run or V2 changes?  Considering the narrow vertical market and a price that is higher than most will pay for a razor of any type, should he try another fundraising release?   You have a long history here and have experience which could add to a positive outcome for all us Toggle lovers.  Ponder the following pic and give us your take on how Eric should proceed.

I'm closing this thread for the time being.  If the OP Dragonsbeard wants to re-open it or post then we'll consider re-opening at that time.

I am re-opening this thread at the request of Dragonsbeard   there is plenty of good and useful discussion here and the Mod team feels that it’s best to allow the discussion to continue. I want to emphasize that any personal attacks won’t be tolerated. Discuss the pros and cons of the razor not the person. Thanks  Happy2

As a recent fan of adjustables this is a NO-BRAINER release for a V2. Just make the Prototype and everyone will be happy. Adjustables has a very good market at the moment and this will be a good time to release.  Maker shouldn’t start from the ground up and make a V2 different than prototype or V1 as Prototype was successful on pass-around. I’ll be honest, I was not part of pass-around.

Even better, re-do the pass-around so new shavers have experienced his adjustable razor, the prototype and V1 for comparison. Feedback is valuable. Toggle is a Gillette marvel as it has so many parts.

Just my .02cents. Happy Friday Gents

I would really like to try the prototype I missed out.
A good shaving buddy loaned me his production model and I've got to say it would be hard to beat for a one-pass shave, was my thought.
