Shave review of Janus Adjustable razor and Shave Off vs Gillette F4 Toggle

Fingers crossed these things actually ship on Friday. Don't wanna get my hopes up tho. I'm ready to have this thing in hand to see the finish. It's been bugging me since the last photos depict a finish that isn't a mirror. It looks nice...but mirror finished it ain't. I'm hoping it looks better in hand.

That last round of photos was pre-polishing (the doors). Hoping they turn out nice.

Just to be clear, the one on the left in the pictures is actually a Gillette Toggle, right? I a bit confused, because I thought this razor was going to be considerably larger than a Toggle, but the razor in the middle appears to be almost the same size..........the one on the left, in all black, is clearly larger.

Can somebody clear up the confusion for me? Or at least maybe name the razors in the pic from left to right? The one on the left is clearly the new Janus toggle. The one in the middle looks like a Janus toggle, too, but it appears to be smaller than the one on the left. Is that possible? The one on the right appears to be a vintage Gillette toggle.

Am I right? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you are wrong, we both are. The final Janus LE was scaled down from the prototype based on feedback Eric got. That is the photo I was referencing with my comment re: polish. Assuming those were complete. They look good, but I'd expect the reflections to be cleaner on a mirror. It is just a photo. Hopefully, this time next week I'll have it in hand.

So why are the two in the middle so much smaller than the black one on the left?  Is the black one the prototype and the smaller ones the final product?  

The two in the middle appear to be very similar in size to the original toggle.

Its OK, I'm confused too. The black one is the prototype. The two in the middle are the LEs, then the Toggle.

After looking back at Eric's post, I now think those two LEs may have been before polishing. I'm thinking they may have been assembled prior to polishing to test fit parts.

Now I feel better about the finish, if AQU is correct and the photo is prior...and I think he is.

With any luck, months of speculation and anxiety will come to an end with a final, glorious unveiling in 48 hrs or so.
