To me as a potential Customer these were very legitimate concerns, especially since your Razor was unknown and unproven. Hopefully you won’t continue to hold this against me. I’ve been following this thread closely and have read all of the reviews that members such as Dragonsbeard have posted about your prototype. I like the fact that you have listened to some of the members here with lots of experience with vintage Toggles such as LOOT who recommended you get rid of the lube port since it was “an answer to a problem that didn’t exist”. I would like to support this project based on their reviews and the information you’ve shared with us, and have sent you a PM requesting to reserve one of your Razors (unfortunately my lucky #44 was already spoken for  Rolleyes). I look forward to trying out one of your new Razors for myself!

I was gutted by your comments...devastated...just kidding....

I'm actually used to getting feedback. It is part and parcel of my day job. It is not uncommon for me to hear "I like ABC, I hate XYZ, and could care less for EFG in the design...I'm used to it. For new product folks, it might bothersome, and then with time they appreciate and seek feedback.

I tried to see things from your perspective...the Derby blade wouldn't have bothered me at all because nothing is preventing one from switching & using a blade brand they prefer. A deal breaker for me would be a razor built to use only a custom blade thus taking away choice from users. What if the custom blade doesn't work for you, then what?

The lube port didn't come from a misguided place. Here is some context...when I made up my mind that I will re-engineer the Toggle razor, one of the units I bought to tear apart had a seized up dial knob that took weeks to unseize. As a result, I decided to proof for that and added channels that directly feed lube to the dial threads and the detent mechanism.

Eric, your brutal honesty and transparency is very refreshing. Personally I am glad you are not spending all your energy into shameless self-promotions. We are all looking forward to your engineered “baby”.

All the best AJ

I received an email that the buying site would go live tomorrow, but because I will be travelling tomorrow I decided to give it a try today. It was live and I have ordered my razor. I look forward to receiving it.
