My useles two cents about the Goose. I found that by shaving in small real state at a time, the razor was more effective. I have the polished version and I was having that sticky feeling. That's when I started to shave small with it.
Just a thought!

Great effort, Brian! Your use of the language is wonderful. Syntax, punctuation, and thought development are all properly done making your journal a joy to read. With great anticipation I await further installments.

rawfox1, when it comes to SE shaves I always recommend shorter strokes. Think like 1-2" overlapping swaths.

Thank you for mentioning that beamon. While I abhorred grammar as a child and more than likely still end sentences with a preposition, I still value properly (for the most part) structured sentences. As they say, punctuation saves lives. Just ask gramma in the example below.

1. Let's go eat gramma.
2. Let's go eat, gramma.

I don't know about you, but that comma is a superhero!

I've been fascinated by the concept of this razor since I first learned of its existence. Definitely going to be reading your upcoming analyses with significant interest.
