Shampoo Bar

Stirling sent me a shampoo bar sample with my January Sale Day order.  It was my first experience with a shampoo bar (margaritas in the artic).  I am now a "convert" and will be switching from bottled shampoo to shampoo bars.  The bar produces fantastic lather and my hair was literally "squeaky clean".  I will continue to use a conditioner with the shampoo bar.  There are many vendors offering shampoo bars, and Stirling has a great selection of scents.  IMHO you should try a sample shampoo bar if you never have used one.  As they say...don't knock it until you have tried it!

Does the MITA shampoo bar contain menthol? That would be awesome for the summer months!

The Stirling MITA Shampoo Bar does have a slight amount of menthol. Not overpowering and not glacial....just a perfect amount for this scent. It is extremely refreshing. I was surprised at how fast it lathers in your hair. For traveling, I have a plastic soap travel case (snap shut lid) which is perfect for a shampoo bar. I am glad I discovered this new product. Thanks to Rod for the sample.

What I enjoyed from bars was the natural ingredients and cool smells! Vinegar and others have been used for centuries and then we got involved with mass production and cheap prices. The “cheaper” soaponification stuff isn’t really that good for you anyway.

+1 on the Stirling. But Mystic Water also has a great shampoo bar. When it comes to scent availability, Stirling is tops. But I would put the MW lather slightly above the Stirling...the Stirling is exceptional, but the MW is, at least to me, a little better in terms of performance

I used Mike's bars for about a year before I switched to Mystic Waters. The bars from MW are a bit small though so despite the great performance the cost was higher because they only lasted about a month.
I tried the shampoo bars from Stirling but they were a bit drying on my skin.
I'm now using bars from Chagrin Valley, and while they're more expensive than most, the bars are massive in size and last a LONG time. I'm a daily washer and I've been using the same bar for two months and it's not even halfway through yet. The CV shampoo bars are the best I've used yet.

I'd like to add that "Lisa's natural herbal creations" shampoo bars are pretty good too and far better than Stirling (for my scalp), but the Chagrin Valley bars are simply amazing.

I'm really liking the shampoo bars I recently got from The Sudsy Soapery. I'm also a big fan of Chagrin Valley and Stirling Soap co.

I am using Stirling's Lemon Chill shampoo bar along side their Glacial bar soaps. Man this stuff is good!
