I found this boar brush at the Salvation Army Thrift Store today, for CAD$7.99 (minus a 10% seniors' discount).
The knot is somewhere around 23 mm diameter by 60 mm loft. Handle feels like a resin. 

No logo is or lettering anywhere, so I have no idea what brand it is. Somehow though, I get the notion that it was once part of a set, with a matching razor handle.

Normally I find boar knots to be way too floppy, but this is quite dense and has great backbone when wet.

It's stunningly pristine looking and (shockingly) about 70 years old. Amazing work, as always, Freddie!

After weighing my options (Freddie sent me a nice Synth knot that really fits the look) I decided to go with the spare 24mm Cashmere I had. It's hard to beat the luxurious soft tips of a Cashmere.

It'll get its inaugural voyage on Friday.

EDIT: Fwiw, I just realized that the Cashmere knots looks very close to the old Nylon synth knots that originally existed. Thus, this is a very authentic replacement in my book.
