Gentlemen, we moderators have a posted rule about no Friends & Family PayPal payments yet we constantly have some who insist upon doing this.  We even had one member who kept arguing with us about it simply for the sake of arguing.  The rule is actually PayPal's not DFS's but it is a good one.  Using Friends & Family on our B/S/T leaves both the buyer and seller at unnecessary risk as there is no PayPal protection if something goes amiss.

If, as a seller, you want, for example, $10.00 and know PayPal will take 50¢ in fees then simply put your selling price at $10.50 or $10.60.  There are actually PayPal seller fee calculators on the internet to help figure out the costs.  If, as a buyer, you refuse to use Friends & Family but the seller insists then I would strongly suggest that you escape to the nearest exit before you lose your money.

Our little corner of the shaving world is made up almost exclusively of honest members.  Unfortunately, the operative word in that last sentence is almost.  There is always one who has no scruples so, please, follow that no Friends & Family rule because it really is in your own best interest, be you a buyer or a seller.

never2close, I sincerely hope that somehow this guy is caught and I thank you for letting others know so that it may save them what you have gone through.

Secretary Ramsey put his foot into it yesterday . . . in the course of his remarks he said that California “needs water and better society.”  “So does h-ll,” yelled someone in the crowd.

I could not agree more with the Mod's appeal to follow the Forum Rules. I didn't and am out because of it. I let my desire for a difficult to find razor cloud my normally good judgement. I really fault this forum since everyone else that I've dealt with over the years has been such superb gentlemen that my guard was down. You guys are really distorting the "real world." Please continue to do so.

I'm sorry to hear this, never2close. I would contact paypal and/or your bank/credit card company and make them aware of this situation and let them know that this gent has been scamming people and to see if you can get your money back.

If I can assist in any way, drop me a PM and I'll help out the best I can.

If anyone was scammed by this user on the forum, send me a PM with your name, email address and the paypal transaction ID. I have a friend who works for paypal. He's going to file something internally on this...

I'm sorry this happened. The scammers are getting better and better with social engineering.
