I developed a craving today for Russian Tea Cookies, but I did not have any powdered confectioner's sugar. So I went ahead and made some with granulated sugar. They're not bad. I'll have some this evening while watching a recorded Agatha Christie's Poirot episode.

Thank you, and Merry Christmas to you too. I'm a philistine: I had hot chocolate with them.

They look good! Never had them before so I wouldn't have known if you hadn't told us.

Next time if you have no confectioners sugar... 1/2 gran' sugar and 1/2 corn starch, put in blender and blend to turn the sugar into dust . It might blend better w/o the starch, add it at the tail end. That's all that conf' sugar is. It would take forever and might never get to where it needs to be in a food processor.
