I will be packing this up today and getting it disinfected and ready for the PO Monday morning to send off to @"Keyhole". Today's shave went pretty dang well considering I still rusty with straight shaving but I really enjoyed the shaves with the Damascus. The closeness of the shave was there and after throwing on aftershave, my face felt better than my first shave but not too much irritation and I would say it was definitely a bit better than my first use with the damascus. I appreciate being able to try this razor out so thanks again to Gopneg GlazedBokerand RusRazors. They are very beautiful razors and seem to be very well built. I think they know what they are doing and hope to see more from them in the future.

The razor has been shipped to Kehole and should be there later this week. Thanks again for letting join this pass around and I am looking forward to hearing what everyone else's experience will be with this along with the larger straight razor. I stropped the damascus razor after the last shave, disinfected the blades and cleaned the scales before packaging it up with plenty of foam and shipped with insurance. I hope you all are doing well and I will chat with you soon. Cheers

Hi guys,
Just a quick few thoughts on the pass around razors -
The taller of the 2 razors I could not even use. Most of my customs are 9/8 razors but with 2.65 - 2.85 cutting edge lengths. This one measures at slightly more than 3.25” and is just too damn long. That said it seemed to have a nice edge in it, but any time a 3” strop is too narrow, it’s a problem for me.
The smaller demascus blade honed up well on the shaptons. Was a nice razor and did the job. Fit and finish on these are just so-so. I found the scales to be a bit clunky. I’m sorry to write things that aren’t flattering but part of reviewing is saying the bad, along with the good.
