Thank you, ckeskin, for such a nice review on this razor and welcome to DFS! The information is very much appreciated! It is great to hear that there may be Rocnel razors in the future that use different blades. I signed up on the waiting list for this first run, but would definitely be interested in future versions of the Rocnel razor.

Actually most likely traditional SE one will be ready before the Feather AC one but I have no idea about the market dates. Smile

No worries on dates of release! There are plenty of other adventures in wet shaving in the meantime. I hope you have the opportunity to explore the community here at DFS. This is a great place with lots of wet shaving fans willing to share their experiences. It's certainly a very friendly environment! Enjoy!

I have done this before and tried it a few minutes ago that is to snap a DE blade in half. First off do it in the wrapper. I did a Gillette 7 O'Clock and a Gillette Wilkinson Sword.  Fold it in half and push the ends until it snaps. Comes out even every time. Or you can buy them already in halves but the selection of brands is not great.  I just pre-ordered one and after ordering you get this notice on the website.

Translated:

"You have successfully completed your order . Our customer service representative will contact you as soon as possible. Thank you for choosing us."

Ok guys. I am sorry for not writing often here. I am extremely busy at work. Rocnel started shipping the first SE razors this week for domestic orders.

Also, by 99% chance overseas shipping will be handled by TNT and costs $12 for the US and $10 for Europe.

Here are some pictures for you:

Okay, I have to admit that I am intrigued, and that doesn't happen too often with razors, so I pre-ordered (there is still no "Buy", just pre-order).

SharpSpine, while I realize you have trouble with DE's and their blades, I wonder if, from the description (and even though you were told this might not be for you), the way the blade supposedly sits in the razor might not offer you a more comfortable shave than a traditional DE.
