I have a solitary Rockwell blade for some months now, but from the reviews, I just cannot bring myself to try it, as I'm very specific about the blades I use. My faves are the Personna 74, the Feather and the Polsilver, so the prospect of experimenting with the Rockwell is not very tempting.

PS; I got one excellent shave with a Rockwell blade one time.

I tried more than a few times. They are a no go for me.

My normal blades are Polsilver, GSBs, and Feather.

Apparently there's been yet another bump in the road for this ill-fated razor. Some complaints of uneven blade gap. The following was ripped from a post on Reddit:

According to the Kickstarter comments section, shipping was delayed again due to a newly discovered production problem.

This is an issue that wasn’t found during the final production testing, so this obviously set off some questions for our assembly and quality team. All the razors that have shipped out have been confirmed to be within extremely tight tolerances, so since being notified we have been diligently investigating this internally, and we’ve paused further assemblies and shipments while we look into this. We want every backer to have a 5-star experience with their Model T and we're working closely with our engineers on implementing a final key QC step that will ensure this happens. Once we have more information from the assembly investigation, we’ll be providing more updates leading up to the April 27th update on how / if this will affect the current planned shipping timeline. It's been fantastic to see our backers' enthusiasm to receive their Model T razor, especially as the initial glowing reviews have been coming out. They haven't issued an Update regarding this issue, but information can be found scattered across a handful of recent comments from Rockwell in regards to people's questions about shipping progress. I think only a bare handful of razors were shipped to backers before the problem was reported which is why we haven't seen more people talk about their new razors.


Wow, this is getting a little ridiculous... I feel for you guys that are having to go through all of this just for a razor. I would've bailed by now that's for sure.

Good GAWD I really hope this works out for them. The 6S and Rockwell in general have been great as far as the razor and trying to make things right.

This could sink a company. I always found it odd that a company that came up with a new, unique way of doing an adjustable would try to make an old style adjustable. Live by the Kickstarter, die by the Kickstarter.

I think the 6S took a long time as well, this seems to be a pattern for them. Nevertheless I got in at the $99 price point just to see how it turns out for them.

Even though Rockwell team claims that the reason for uneven blade gap is because of hitch in the assembly line, I have a feeling that is much more than that like problem with bad molded pieces. Probably is for the best that they steered away from all brass version, if they are having issues with molded zinc, imagine the headache if the razor was all brass?

If the issue is with bad molded pieces, all those pieces needs to be remade and do another QC run and make sure they are good for large production. This would set them longer than 3 months till they start shipping.

I wish them speedy delivery of the product, but considering the rocky production this razor went trough, broken promises on materials and more than double raising the price on the razor after release, Rockwell will just burry this razor for good because it just wont sell.

EDIT: I found this video on youtube and the guy is showing his Model T, if you pause the video at 1:07 you will see good 1/16"+ difference in blade gap from one side to the other side of the blade. Just as I thought this is not assembly line problems, this is an issue with the head parts molding. This sort of issues had the Russian wanna be Gillette adjustable razor....
