Really?  I didn't know they had a prime version. Like the new Derby's huh? I have a couple of those on the way too.

You got it, amigo

Yeah, it’s starting to get a little confusing with all the Ps. Platinums have been around for a while, but now we’re getting these Premiums and Primes… Somebody needs to come up with a new letter to describe their blades!  Tongue

I cant give these things away. LITERALLY.

Exactly! The new kickstarter for the adjustable razor includes 100 blades as a "perk". I've asked them to give it to someone else, so I won't have to deal with another 100 (to my 95 remaining blades...) blades... I can't get myself to throw them away, but nobody wants them even for free!

After thinking about this post, I have to wonder if Rockwell is in the same position we are....giving them away....and not finding any takers.

A perplexing plethora of platinum, premium and prime products providing pleasantly perfect perfection. Shave-wise, that is. Couldn't pass up the alliteration opportunity.

An update to my findings. Usually I keep a blade for 4–8 shaves, because some blades actually get better after the first couple of uses. But I must admit that I tossed the Rockwell after two shaves.

Cons: First pass of first shave was tug mania. First pass of second shave was “Why isn’t this thing cutting anything?” (The second passes of each shave I was wondering how many more passes I would have to make to get to even DFS.)

Pros: The blades are so blunt that you would really have to put forth some serious effort to nick yourself.

Since I still have a few of these Rockwell blades left, I’ll probably revisit the blade in another razor in the future, just to see if things turn out differently.

I guess what started with somewhat positive reviews, has turned into a majority of dislike. Looks like I'll have to revisit them, my first impressions were very positive.

I got a pack a while ago and did about half of a pass with the initial blade. Swapped it out thinking it was a dud, the second one was the same. Tugged and really didn't do well for me at all.

Now that I have the option of using the combination of the Rockwell blade with the Blackbird, I will have to give it a try sometime in the near future.

I have a 90 day supply of Rockwell blades - box of 100. I will admit my first shave with the blade in a mild razor was excellent. Imperfect would be a polite term for the second attempt (notice I did not use the word "shave").

I first tried these blades a long ago. They were sent to me as a gift from an excellent vendor and soapmaker(los angeles shaving company)!!!
I was excited because sending you a gift isn't the easiest thing for a shop whatsoever. The blade was one of the sharpest and felt quite smooth compared to other blades but nothing fancy on that area. There were little to no irritation and zero nicks or cuts.
I tried this blade recently again and it felt quite good.It is a little rough-that's for sure-but is very very sharp.I had little to zero irritation and no nicks at all.
In my book this is a good blade and that's why i bough 100 of them with free shipping to Greece!!!

Sharpness:8/10
Smoothnes:6/10
Price:9/10
Overall:7.6/10

I would rather have a blind alcoholic with Parkinson's disease shave my pubes with a scythe than to use another Rockwell DE blade. Simply abysmal. Dodgy

Secretary Ramsey put his foot into it yesterday . . . in the course of his remarks he said that California “needs water and better society.”  “So does h-ll,” yelled someone in the crowd.
