You are not ALONE ,
I haber bought my first riva a year before I fall love with it , now I have 3 and still looking for different handles,

I see the gelled tips in your wet brush pictures. Do the tips feel slimy when wet and crusty when dry? I have had a brush with gelled tips that was so slimy that the soap stayed in the knot tips and would not lather.
