Has anyone tried the new Rex Supply Co. DE blades? They're made in the Czech Republic, and the description sounds extremely similar to what Czech Blades s.r.o. published for Tiger Platinum and Tatra Platinum.

Rex $2.25/5, Tatara $1.69/5 Tiger $0.99/5. for the same razor blade?  Seems like an easy decision.

I have tried a number of blades made by Czech blades. They were Tiger Platinum, Tatra Platinum, Tatara Platinum, and Merkur Platinum and Tiger Stainless. The price varied widely with Merkur being the most expensive and the Tiger and Tatra blades being the least expensive. I did find the Tiger Stainless blades to be less sharp and less smooth than the platinum blades. The platinum blades were essentially identical, within the margin of error.

I suspect the Rex blades will be similar in quality. It is possible that Czech blades will make a special blade for Rex (Razor Emporium), but that is unlikely. I doubt Matt ordered enough blades to make a special blade feasible. If you want to try the Rex blades, go ahead and do so; they should be good blades, but if you are on a budget, pick up some of the Tiger or Tatra Platinum blades.

Rex blades mention being Swedish stainless while the other two say premium stainless. Maybe that is the justification for the higher price?
