Today was one of the best shaves I have had. 2.5 passes to BBS glory. Zero irritation on the post shave alcohol splash. It doesn't get any better then this.

I am finally in a nice groove with this razor. I had trouble getting nick & irritation free. I'm dialing it down to 1 for my head and 2-3 for my face using Astra SP and Feather blades. The razor tricks me. When I first touch my face it doesn't seem all that much smoother than other shaves, but later in the day, it seems that my face stays smoother longer. My 12 o'clock shadow is equal to most of your 5 o'clock shadows.
As to the "dragging" that some have felt. I too have experienced this. However, I use it as an adjustment reminder. If I feel it, I'm probably riding the cap too much and I adjust my angle a little and I'm picking up more blade.
Overall, a very fine razor indeed.

"...it seems that my face stays smoother longer."  While I have been happy with virtually every aspect of the Rex, that definitely has to be a highlight for me.  My face stays smoother longer, in some cases a few hours longer, than it does with other razors that I really like.

The Rex proved itself to me again this morning, this time with a seventh use blade.  I'm just now beginning to feel a bit of stubble, some six hours after I shaved.  Not too shabby at all. Happy2

Paradigm 17 4 still leaves me with the closest longest lasting BBS shave. But the rex is a wonderful smooth shave! Although I haven't gone against the grain with it fully open. 3.5 for me gives me a smooth efficient shave. Great razor. I polished the top cap and I've been really enjoying the look

Best shave yet with the Rex. Feather blade, top secret experimental soap, as close to BBS as I've ever achieved.

First shave with the Rex today. Collected it yesterday from my friend.

After having used Merkur Progress for 2 yrs and Rockwell 6s a little over 3 months, REX was definitely a Premium buy for me.

Asthetically, the razor looks cool to me. I like the handle knurling, top cap design and overall fit and finish. Unlike other razors with bulky packaging, REX box looks more handy to me.

I used it at 3.5 today with a BIC blade and it gave me a shave like Rockwell on # 4. It was very close, irritation free shave today with only 2 passes. No against the grain pass.

There was a drag as has been pointed out earlier by others but it was a kind of boon for me as it prevented me from going against the grain. In all probability would like to only use this razor for a few weeks and recover from the torture of against the grain I have been inflicting on myself in my pursuit to get a BBS before.

I might try to use a pre shave oil and also try to polish the head and see if it helps in lessening the drag.

First impressions are positive and would like to use REX for a few more days to understand it fully.

Set it on 1 and go against the grain. I would be stunned if that would be scary

I guess the drag is part of the way the razor shaves. It is a beautiful razor well made and shaves excellent but the drag made me sell it when other razors of mine just Glide smoothly and shave just as good if not better. Many Shavers said they did not feel any drag and I tried everything but drag is drag others experience May differ

I felt the drag of the Rex also but don't bother me at all, funny thing is I grabbed the RR BBS Ti and it outperformed the Rex! more smoother and more efficient for sure. This is no reason for me to sell the Rex, I enjoy the Rex and its staying with me
