Aside from the post shave feel Oli, how do you think it compares to MW in other areas? Notably slickness, ease of lather, water retention, etc?

I've got a new formula MW in front of me and want to get a baseline from you.

Thanks in advance!

Mystic Waters in my opinion edges it on Post Shave and Slickness.

Pheonix and Beau is very easy to lather and as everyone knows if you have hard water Mystic Waters can take a little longer. Quality of the lather in both is pretty much tied.

Both take on a lot of water, MW just needs a slow addition whereas P&B can take it a little quicker.

MW wins hands down on scent and scent quality....so far but I know P&B had a lot coming.

Mystic Waters is still my number one, now followed by P&B which is probably on par with Cold River Soap Works.

My thoughts exactly... I completely agree that it is really exciting to see some of the UK artisan soaps getting great praise!

Thanks for the review! P&B soaps have wonderful performance and some interesting scents. The lather reminds me a bit of Mystic Water, aside from the lathering problems I hear people have had with MW, but I haven't had a problem with either. Favorite P&B scents are Citra Royale and Spitfire. Looking forward to the new scents. I am not connected with this company in any way. It's sad that I need to say that, but just for the record.

Hey guys just a quick one if you haven't already seen it P&B have a release scedule which I like, they have recently updated it with the scent make ups of their seasonal soaps for this year.

I personally like the sound of Borealis being a Raspberry man.

I know that they would like to add one more soap to their standard range which I believe they are going to be doing some research for soon.

Evening all,

Thank you everyone for your thoughts, reviews and comments on our soaps. To be discussed in the same company as Mystic, CRSW, etc is heady praise indeed and I'm genuinely humbled. Thanks also to Oli (WindsorCitrus) for sharing the above. I'm currently sat surrounded by various iterations of Star Noir, Baskerville and Borealis and the three combined makes for quite a mix!

With kind regards,

Kerry.
