I hear ya.  we can only speculate why a forum does what it does.

unfortunately some of us have in-depth knowledge on the way things happen on some of the forums out there.

They are fortunate I'm the type of person that I am.  I used to be friends with some of those same characters and I could really spill a lot of dirt, but that's not the way I do business.

That's the difference between me and them, and I'm very proud of that and the fact they banned me for no reason. I guess the truth was much for them to bear.

In all fairness, most of the problems are concocted by one individual, the rest are pretty much sheep.

I really don't care, that place is going down anyway, once new members see the real deal, they leave. So no need for me or anybody else to lower to their level, they don't need help.

Folks, while we all have our opinions, and we as a mod team do our best to allow the free exchange of most all thoughts we are not going to allow posts get into the internal workings or structures of other forums. VTmax was made aware why his post was hidden and I believe he understands. For the record, I am not the one who removed the posts, but I fully support the removal.

We are here for people to speak as freely as possible, but naming specific names of moderators at other forums just isn't right, and more importantly we don't want those people coming over here injecting their opinions. We mods hope everyone understands this position, just as we would not like to see our team discussed elsewhere, we extend the same to others.

I know you are in a tough spot since you still have interests at that other site wingdo, so I'm sure is not easy.

Wow, gentlemen, thank you so much for some very eye-opening information. I had no idea about certain affiliations mentioned, but now I get it, and I'm very happy I stumbled across DFS.

I hope you know that my posting of that eBay link was so that we could have a chuckle about an obvious spoof listing.

I suppose that was taken down from the other forum in question in part because it was critical of the posting of high-end gear in posts and SOTDs. Thanks to the mods here for allowing my reference to that eBay listing and descripton-knowing that we can chuckle at ourselves, and still take great pride in the lovely gear we have.

The other day, my wife asked me why I was carting my shaving gear into the courtyard to take a picture. I told her because it makes me happy, and I wanted to share it with others who would 'get it'.

Honestly, I'm happy with the shaves I get with Proraso green and a 1965 Gillette, as well as the ones from the MdC and a Wolfman or OneBlade. And who doesn't like to show off their new 'baby' whether it's an expensive piece of gear, or a vintage, perhaps sentimental, oldie but goodie?

Thanks again.

Hello.
I agree, Doug.
Regardless of forum/group/venue, people should behave in a responsible and respectable manner.
Respect.

DFS Mods : please address.
1. spelling/definition of shilling
2. how a SOTD post is perceived as 'shilling'.

Greetings, Bruce; hope all is well with you.

I'm doing fine, thanks.

The mods don't need to address the definition, it was my post and how I perceive your random post here and on B&B.

No posts in a year on B&B and then 3 in a couple days all showing off the RX razor. No posts here aside from the one that was previously deleted and then a SOTD showing the RX. What would you call it? Schilling, promoting, hyping...Call it what you want, you are without a doubt drumming up interest in the upcoming razor and the only reason you posted them.
