Got a nice shave in with the V3 OC this morning right after it arrived. Will post a write up and comparison to General V2 tonight sometime. Very close shave that’s for sure!

Today’s shave with the V3 OC was a lot of fun. I haven’t used an OC Single edge before and wasn’t sure what to expect. The teeth felt smooth on the face; there was no harshness to them. I could certainly feel the blade, but it effortlessly removed my whiskers on the first pass WTG. My cheeks were easily BBS (only 2 days growth, but coarse beard) and neck was DFS.

The second pass XTG was also effortless. I think I used too much pressure in areas and certainly felt it with the AS.

The finish surprised me. The shine on both head and handle were excellent. Better than my old Gamechanger from what I recall. The weight was more than I’m used to with my General V2, but overall a great shave. I need to tune in to this razor over the next week to see what it can really do.

Mine should be delivered tomorrow. I ordered all three versions but I am
most interested in the OC since the only other OC SE is the Above the Tie SE2. The teeth pattern looks similar to the GC Jaws. How do you compare it to the General V2?

A new version IMHO should be more efficient.
V2 use the standard of safety razors, both DE and SE.
It is the standard because is the most efficient way.
Easier and safer, than the inverted of the V3.

This is the first time I see the inverted geometry on SE.
But I've used vintage DE with this, and I found odd.
Not a big issue, just a wrong way in the past.
We should learn by History.

I appreciate the reply.  Thank you.  I don’t see things the same way you do, but life is like that sometimes. Blade handling with the V3 is about as quick and easy as it gets, and I see nothing unsafe or inconvenient about the V3 pin placement.

Happy to hear you guys like it.
A lot of effort went into this SS version with the 3 unique plates.
I think many people will appreciate the different levels of aggression and blade feel.

Schick Proline right now. Not sure I’d go feather pro just yet.

I did the first three shaves with a Feather Pro.  The Feather worked fine, but I've had good luck with Proline P-30s too, and  I plan to try one next time.  I'll let you know.
