Appreciate the update and looking forward to giving it a go myself. How did you find the shave angle and face feel TML4EVR ?
The shave angle was intuitive and forgiving, I found it similar to EJ DE. I could definitely feel the blade on my skin, but as long as I didn't press down I didn't feel any irritation. I finished without any weepers or nicks. I used alum after my shave to see how I did and didn't feel any burn just some tingling.

This thing is scary light. 35 grams for the complete Hawk vs 28 grams for just a Mongoose SS bottom plate. I'll probably stick my Hempel ti handle on here later.

edit: My razor is fairly aggressive with a feather pro. Maybe some manufacturing variation? I'm glad as it works well with the light weight.

Tried my second shave with the Black Hawk this morning, I did have a little irritation but I chock that up to technique as I was rushing to get out the door for work this AM.

Great shaving razor. I added a Rocnel knurled handle for better weight. Up to about 85 grams vs 35. Eventually will try a Feather Pro Super.

Tried mine today, excellent shave with the new B&M Seville formula and feather pro blades. Just slightly heavier than the PAA Bakelite razor this one is a keeper for me for awhile.

I've been enjoying my chrome Hawk. It is a nice medium efficient razor. This was my first single edge razor (The General was my second) and I found that a lighter pressure adjustment was immediately needed with these artist club blades which are super sharp.

I started with the Kai Mild but I'm getting the best shaves with the Feather Pro. I do have three Feather Supers which I don't feel the need to try but more than likely will just because I'm glutton for punishment.

the feather supers were BRUTAL for me! they remind me exactly like the feather DE blades in non-feather razors...very present or "bladey", if you will.

The first two shaves I had before I adjusted my pressure down were not great. I had a face full of irritation. But I lightened the pressure more and more until I found the sweet spot. Artist club blades are super efficient and I just did not expect it the first couple shaves.

It also doesn't help that all of my DE razors except a couple are stainless steel. This caused problems for me with the Hawk and the General because they are so light that one wants to use a bit of pressure with them just naturally if they are used to tons of heft.
