That's interesting Matt. I would have to look back but I thought in early July there was a post in this thread from IB that it was in production. Assumed this meant past the prototype stage.
I haven’t been following the Hawk that closely, but I would also have imagined that things are further along by now, so I was a little surprised by yesterday’s post. But I’ve read about these things happening before — picking up a prototype (or even worse, a whole batch) from a manufacturer only to find out that something went wrong somewhere in the process. Trial and error, I guess…
Whenever I go to shave, I assume there’s someone else on the planet shaving, so I say “I’m gonna go shave, too.”

flintlock you think you'll be able to hold to just $20. I mean that's 1/3 of the way to free shipping. I suppose if you get just the razor it will probably be $5-$6 shipping. You're almost halfway now. You're saving money by buying more cause your saving on shipping costs.

Today’s update on the Hawk (from Instagram):
“It looks like we finally got this #razorock #hawk #razor right. It should be in production very soon.”
Additionally, the photo with this announcement shows the chrome version of the razor (which is also displayed on the Italian Barber website) and an anodized black version of the Hawk.

You got it! I was wondering about that handle, too. It actually almost looks like the iKon OSS Überglide. So I’m wondering if there will be a black handle at all. I’m guessing there will, but it may be different than the one in the picture.
Speaking of iKon, they are working on their own SE razor (who isn’t these days?), and seem to be aiming for a December release. From the pictures I’ve seen, the design is very similar to the Hawk, but the materials will surely be different.
