Do I need it? No. But, like you said Andrew, for $20? Yes, I will probably have one. Thanks for the heads up!

I'm with you. having never shaved with the feather or kai SE blades before, for $20 I figure I'll give it a go...

Yep, Joe at razorock is bringing it strong this summer with a wide range of razors at great price points. Saw that the first run of the Hawk is 1000 units but imagine that will go really quick, particularly for $20.

Will make a great travel option I believe for those not wanting to pack thier more expensive offerings but still use the ac blades.

How are the ac blades? Pretty favorable reviews on them?

For me I can get a nice comfortable shave from them in my mongoose, for something closer and a little more aggressive I use a super pro. The Cobra Classic is quite efficient with the pro's but has the capability to bite if your not paying attention. The Kai Sharp blade is quite nice however I found the longevity of the blade was 5-6 shaves less than the feather. Not a very big fan of the kai milds, they were a little rough to me.

I signed up. For $20 you can't beat it. The handle is worth that much, plus both the head and handle are aluminum with chrome plating.

They remind me of the Schick injector blades, only wider. They're definitely thicker and more rigid than DE blades. The Feather Professional Super offers even more blade exposure while being thicker still than the Pro blades. They seem to be extremely sharp, too.

I've only tried the Feather AC Professional and Professional Super in the ATT SE1. I think I prefer the Pro Super in the SE1. I only tried the Pro in the AlumiGoose 2. I have some Feather ProGuards, but haven't tried those at all yet. I also think I have a few odd blades left from tryablade.com from when I was cutting them down and using them in Schick Injectors. I really should dig those out. There were Feather AC's, Kai, and Kamisori blades.
