They are not sold out, I think Joe posted a tweet last night regarding having a small batch release for I guess international buyers to get a better chance to get one. I purchased one with the HD handle since I missed out on the first release because the barber pole handle sold out really fast. I'm sort of glad it happened this way because I like the look of the HD handle more or the super grip one and I also like the way the new base plate look now. I guess its better I missed out on the first batch and when I think about it I also missed out on the 1st batch of the Ti BBS that had the head matte finish and the handle tumbled finish, the 2nd batch both were matte and the match was spot on. Joe will release the rest of the GC in a day or two, all are not sold only small number last night.

I think sometimes is better waiting for the 2nd run, live and learn

The change is merely aesthetic as per Joe's tweets and the new design will take the weight off the head and it remains to be seen how they impacts the razor handling. As the blade gap and guard has not changed - it would be interesting to read the reviews.

GC was delivered today and I have prepared it for shaving.  Unfortunately, I shaved a few hours earlier with my new Rex Ambassador!  After I get a couple of shaves, I will post a review.  Expect to send along to bobmsp next week (Wed - Fri).

Good to know it arrived safe!!!!

Anyone know if Joe plans on selling a more aggressive base plate like he did with the MJ-90? I really want to like this razor but without a more aggressive plate, it may collect dust or end up on the bazaar. It’s a beautiful razor for the price.

Yes, as soon as we can fill initial demand for the .68p version, we will begin a .90 version with even more positive exposure

Won't be a couple weeks, we are too far behind on machining. We haven't been able to come close to meeting .68p plate demand yet.

Oh man, a Razorock machined stainless head that’s similar to the iKon Tech in aggressiveness would be amazing! Especially since there’s been very little word on if or when the Tech is going to be available again.

That would be nice!!
