I do not blame you....I am surprised that the pass around is still going as I believe there plenty of reviews out their to make your decision.

I don't know yet, still experimenting. I know the Med prep blades work better than the Iridium blades, while still being smooth as silk. Feathers are next.

My short list of recommendations to try in the GC would be Bic, Personna Red, Nacet, Feather, and KAI.

Personally, I’ve more-or-less settled on the Personna Red in the GC (vs Bic for Mamba), but the only blade I really didn’t like in it was the tuggy Voshkod.

The Astra SP was very comfortable to shave with, but (like other razors I’ve tried it in) not sharp enough for my tough grey beard. It didn’t tug at all; it just didn’t cut well.

I’ve also tried a full-width shim, but didn’t really like it any better than just a sharp, unshimmed blade.

Razor was sent out to #21 on the list herbert7890 today.
