Timeless was a game changer for me and it was the last razor I ever bought.

Also, did you get an answer from the vendor in this thread as to when the Game changer will be released? I didn't see a date. You can have a Timeless right now if you like and go through the 30 day trial period.

Timeless Razor - a great razor! But, having tried Wunderbar, I was convinced of its superiority over TR. TR is a very elegant razor, it is worth its money. TR I would have bought anyway. But WB won. So I think that GC can be just as wonderful as TR.

Sorry for my English

You actually compared the Wunderbar directly with the Timeless and the Wunderbar won in the comparison?  If you determined that for your use case, the Wunderbar was a better razor for you then yeah, that would be great and a cost savings for sure.
Joe makes good shavers, I'm happy with the performance and they got the good looks

Thank you!

Just saved me money, as I am looking for a daily driver, and will forgo the TR .68 OC to then purchase the GC.

I currently own below complete Timeless Razors...

2 x .95 combo SB/OC
1 x .95 OC
1 x .95 SB

Timeless thus far has been the smoothest least irritating of all I've tried.

I am in search of a daily driver and would like to try something different.

That coupled with the fact that I am very pleased with Italian Barber, will hold me off until I have the Game Changer in hand to try before committing to the TR .68 OC.

I agree with you. You should at least own one TR. I have the titanium .95 open comb. I’ve just about about every razor they make. The Titanium has been my favorite.

Any news on whether the prototype will be tweaked prior to production? I have a pretty clear sense that GlazedBoker and I share similar taste on the aggressiveness scale. Based on his suggestions, any move toward making the base plate a bit more aggressive? Or offering a couple of choices?

Gus, how does it compare with some of your more aggressive favorites?

It seems to me that this is going to be a mild razor, it would indeed be nice to either have a plate choice or making it more aggressive

Please, let's not confuse things any more than they already are. Let's start with the rollout and go from there.

Hey Scott. Sorry for the late reply. I’m in Chicago on a business trip so I haven’t been able to stay in contact with the forums in the past couple of weeks.

Concerning the Gamechanger prototype and it’s aggressiveness to the aggressive razors in my den is not a fair comparison to be honest. I would not even think of putting the GC in the same ballpark compared to my Ikon Tech, DOC EVO or even the the Muhle R41 Grande. I don’t think it was intended to be an aggressive offering from Razorock, just a step up in efficiency and feel as compared to the RR Mamba. The Mamba is smooth and mild and can be used daily for comfortable, close shaves. It takes a bit more work to get there, but it does it with very little irritation if any. Definitely a 3 pass razor plus touch ups if shaving a couple days of growth, for me at least. The GC on the other hand performs a bit more efficiently with just a slight bit of blade feel and takes down the couple days worth of growth with 2 passes and maybe some touch up work. It requires less work than the Mamba to get the same result. Think Gillette Slim on a 6 setting but smoother. It’s not a forward feeling blade, but it deceptively cuts the whiskers as a forward feeling one imo. Another razor that I closely compare it to is the Rockwell 6s. Put it somewhere between the R5 & R6 with either a Feather or Kai. But I feel a little more blade edge with the Kai, in a good way. And the GC just feels a bit smoother than the 6s, again thats just me and my experience with it.

I believe that if the safety bar was a couple thousandths of an inch shorter on the GC, we’d have a legend in the making. But like I said, I don’t think that’s what Razorock intended for the GC. They kept the same attributes of the Mamba of smoothness and ease of use and just tuned it up a bit to give it a better overall shave. The GC has a little more snarl to it....

Joe told me that there will be additional separate plate for purchase for the GC that will bring the aggressiveness in R41 playground, I just forgot to ask him will it be available on the day when the GC hit his store, I guess we will find out around end of April
