Question about Soap Commander "Respect"

I'm looking to grab a new lime soap, and I really love my other SC products, but the 'patchouli' aspect makes me a bit apprehensive. I don't care for that scent at all, so I was wondering if I could get some input from some of you who have tried this out. Would you say the patchouli is prominent? Or mostly not too noticeable?

Respect is a LOUD scent. Probably 8 out of 10 strength. I liked it at first, but I began to hate it after a while. The Lime definitely outweighs the patchouli, but the patchouli is very present. I don't have a problem with either Lime or Patchouli, it was that together, I ended up hating them. I like their Confidence scent which is honey/patchouli, but there was something just WAY too harsh/bitter/strong/bold about the Respect Lime/Patchouli scent. Maybe if it were a sweeter lime? I'm not sure.

I gather the wife didn't like it either, although she never said anything. Sometimes you just get a feeling.

If I were you, I'd wait and try a sample once their site comes back online, unless you think you can offload it through a BST.

Yeah, the Patchouli isn't as forward when the soap is dry, but gets much more prominent when lathered. I personally love it, and have the bath bar as well. My wife loves it too, so that always helps.    I'd steer clear, or like SCShaver said, wait until you can get a sample.

Its interesting how some Soap Commander scents, I'd like just a bit more stoutness too, but some of their scents are BOLD. Gusto is bold and so is Respect.

Courage and Endurance are perfect scents and scent strength, so is Serenity and they are my three favorites.

Anyway, I'm digressing. Respect is strong and like I say, you might dig it at first, but after a while it could wear on you. The AS balm I think might be even more stout than the soap.

There are other artisans who offer a pure lime scent, only, if that is what you are looking for.

Yes, I think that is the route I will take. I just used my other Soap Commander and was wanting to try out some more of their stuff, and since I'm also in the market for some lime soap I thought maybe I could kill two birds with one stone. Thank you.

I'm a fan of SC and have tried a number of their soaps. By far, my favorite is Fortitude. Scents are very subjective but if you are looking for something to try and it sounds interesting it's a great one!

I have two soaps scented with Lime and Patchouli: SC Respect, in which patchouli is quite prominent, and TFS BFF, in which lime is the dominant scent.
