I have a lot of Gem razors modern and vintage and I agree that the Gem blade is not as sharp as the AC SE ones or even as good as a DE blade. A razor is as good as the blade it's using, so why design a razor around a lesser blade when there are so many better ones? The final outcome will be better for it.

Yeah, that's just a mock-up. AC blade doesn't look like that, anyway. I'll have some pix in the not too distant future of actual prototypes.
Love that an AC is pending. I would like to volunteer for any prototype testing
Seriously though - handle options would be much appreciated. ‘Magnum’ style (longer thicker handle) or comparing the mongoose vs colonial ‘the general’ to name a couple modern ones have a very different hand feel due to weight and size.

That's all a matter of opinion. There are plenty of people out there who feel that the GEM blade is the best for their skin and beard type.
