You aren't crazy Smile. It was increased from $20 to $30. I do all the polishing by hand and it is a huge time commitment to make a high quality finish. So reluctantly I had to increase the cost. Even still, the polished finish has been the bulk of preorder sales so far.

Polishing is totally worth it... Esp when you compare the price with a similarly performing razors...

Is the polishing for the second batch still done by hand?

Is the rounding of the corners done at the factory or manually as well? How do you compare rounded corners of the initial batch vs second batch?.... Eg. Should I get on the list for a third blackbird? Wink

I still do all the polishing by hand. My arm may fall off once I start work on the next batch, but it's well worth it. The rounding is now part of the CNC route so all finishes will enjoy the same corners. The new corners are pretty similar to the first batch, but more uniform and consistent from razor to razor. Try as I might, my hands are not nearly as precise as CNC. Should you get another one? Well I think that's up to you, but I doubt you'd regret it! Smile

Lol. I'll let others enjoy the quality for now since I have two razors already.

Loving this because I have found one more place to hack on Shane and tell him to get moving on that O.C.
