Afternoon everyone,

Well we've a busy week lined up, and no mistake. Tomorrow at midday (GMT) we will be making Baskerville available for pre-order via our website until 1200hrs (GMT) 01/10. Inspired by cuir de russie and also the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle novel 'The Hound of the Baskervilles' the scent is our offering for the autumnal season. Birch, labdanum, frankincense, tonka bean, cedarwood and vetiver make for a dark scent.

For me it smells of dark moorland and earth, albeit with a very slight hint of smoke which is introduced via the inclusion of birch tar.

Here are the opening lines from its description on our site:
"Darkness envelops the wanderer. His hind-brain in turmoil, will he fly or fight?

Terminally he hesitates. For something monstrously large and impossibly close lets a wet guttural growl from its lupine throat. Lucent eyes peel open and watch him from within the night that envelops them.

They focus only on him.

The Beast and the wanderers doom explode forwards.. "

KerryPB Will Baskerville be available for sale at Maggards in late October; or does one have to pre-order it through Phoenix and Beau? How would you say the scent compares to B&M's Hallows? Thank you.

We're chatting with our stockists (inc Maggards) in order to determine how many they would like. Whilst numbers haven't been finalised it's our intention to make it available in the US.

I haven't smelt Hallows and can't help you there I'm afraid.

The reason I ask about Maggards is Royal Mail doesn't appear to have a good reputation for delivery (at least based on various reviews I have read) and I am hesitant to place an international order.

B&M's Hallows can best be described as a swamp -- a swamp complete with submersed dead bodies. I am intrigued by your Baskervile's description of "It smells of dark moorland and smoke." This description reminded me very much of Hallows; hence, the question. Thank you.
