The waiting is almost up.

Baskerville will be let off its leash and all pre-orders will be dispatched by Saturday - thank you to all of you who secured your own jar and please note, if you didn't grab one we will have a very limited number available via our shop from midday on Monday. Beyond that you will be able to find them lurking with our stockists shortly after.

Have a great weekend and happy shaving!

Kerry.

Did Baskerville ship today? Was hoping my shipping notice with tracking number would be sent (<sigh> Quietly checks e-mail again.)

Well got my samples a few days ago & I have to say, fantastic. My favorite is Sanskrit, Albion & Spitfire they smell great. The performance from these samples was amazing. They lather up a lot from a small amount & provide great cushioning & slickness with a good post shave feel after. I have had great shaves using them. Excellent stuff well done Phoenix & Beau.
Funny thing with the Spitfire is that it reminds me of when my Dad was alive, I used to moan about the horrible smell of the embassy cigarette butts in his ashtrays. But when I opened the lid on Spitfire sample I loved it, it brought back memories of him. Thank You

Thanks @"rogue13" and I'm really pleased how Spitfire triggers those memories. I designed it around my olfactory memory of my WW2 veteran Grandfather and completely get where you're coming from Smile.

Best regards,

Kerry.

Any chance of getting a Canadian vendor on board to sell your products? The description of Spitfire really appeals to me as my Grandfather was also in Northern Africa and Italy in the war, it would be great to be reminded of him every evening while shaving.

Your welcome, but no really Thank You KerryPB  your products are a joy especially Spitfire. I am glad that you made Spitfire with such a motive, passion & love to tribute & remember a loved one, is fantastic. It means that Spitfire is more than just a shave soap, It's a shave soap made with real pride & has a real story behind it(not many soaps say that) when made.Your Grandfather would of been proud. So I am glad your Spitfire has memories for both of us but in different ways. Also I forgot to mention in my last post was that he was a fan of Spitfires too. Anyway once my situation improves I will be buying Spitfire from you asap, knowing it was made with pride. Thanks You.

Sorry if I was a bit OTT in my last post, it was a long & emotional day as my Mum is very ill & it was my Dads birthday that day too.

Certainly understand. I will actually get Spitfire because of your post, mate.

I hope your mom is on her way to recovery.

You know what soap reminded me of my dad? B&M Roam. My father was a horse jockey and the scent reminded me parts of my childhood. He was a smoker too, probably Spitfire would also do the same.

Hi Aurelian28 Thank You.
I haven't smelt B&M Roam but from what you said I get the idea of what Roam smells like. My mate wife used to keep horses, so I understand.
I think its great that a simple scent from our shave soaps can trigger of past memories of our childhood to someone special. From something we enjoy too.
Thanks You

We have explored a couple of options but, unfortunately, we currently can't get the price point right enough for a Canadian vendor to take us. We'll keep trying, mind. Smile

Kind words, thank you for sharing.

In other news, I have the following:

May I bring to your attention to a contest we'll be running, please. Full details will be outlined by American wet shaver, Instagram lover and YouTuber, Cap McAlpin (Cap7597 on instagram and YouTube) at 6pm (GMT) this Saturday (17/12) via his YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/c/Cap7597.

Very briefly though the winner (announced on Christmas day by us) will receive the following:
  • The licence to create the identity of our 2017 summer seasonal soap; they'll get to name it and determine its scent profile
  • Next spring, we will be releasing our newest core range soap, ‘Imperial Rum’. This is our version of the bay rum profile (bay, lime, orange, cinnamon, benzoin and ylang ylang). The winner will get soap number 1 from batch number 1 [Imperial Rum]. This jar will be numbered and signed by me.

Details on how you can enter will be described by Cap, this coming Saturday, as described above.

Kindest regards,

Kerry.
