Personna Question

LOOT -I’ve had some great experience with Personna Med Preps as well. No glue spots on those either. Made in the USA.

I typically don't love the lab blues. I don't hate them either, they're just okay. However, I tried one in my Rockwell 6S this morning and it was great.

Same here. They are pricey but good. BTW, I just checked on Amazon, where the Med Preps are about the same price as KAI blades - which are also glue free and another of my favorites.

No. No glue. Although the outside wrapper is sealed with a small dab of something. You can see where the wrapper tore when I opened it. No glue on the blade though.

My guess, like the others, are Personna Lab Blues. If you like those, try the Personna Med Preps.

If I may ask a clarifying question - are "Personna Supers" (with that printed on the blade) and "Personna Lab Blues" (with no writing on the blade) - the same blade? If not, would love your perspective on how they are different. I got the former with a Blackland razor and the latter from WCS. Thanks for your help!

Personna May be the most confusing blade on this planet!  Lab Blue was not a name Personna ever used.  They just came in a blue wrapper and were sold through medical supply houses for “lab” use.  We shavers repurposed them.  The packet with the arrows were sometimes called barber blades and a very nice.  Today they are sold in a blue box labeled comfort coated, white wrapper, no glue dots, printed personna super.  These Are the same as lab blues.  Printing on the blade looks like a kindergartener did the printing.  As for “no printing” look closer and see if the name is not etched lightly on the blade.  I have several hundred bulk, blue wrapped, etched lab blues and I swear they are sharper and longer lasting than the old lab blues.

This is my new bulk lab blue and unless I tip the blade right I can’t see the etching.
