Paradigm Shaveware Titanium Single Edge Razor

Some aspects of the handle design remind me of the Durham Duplex Dorset. Was there any inspiration from that design, Paradigm Shaveware?

Wow Andy that is a unique and very cool design. Based on what you said about how it shaves I'm very excited to add another Paradigm to my den. Also interested in what blade you like best after you try the Prolines. They are my current favorites but I haven't tried the Kamisori blades but seeing more threads where people are using them.

Holy cow. It really does. Nothing entirely new under the sun. That is a very cool razor, but I never saw it until just now.

The shape came from thinking about what would make sense for an SE and have some "flow" to it. The patterns are Art Deco inspired. They look good and have the correct feel timewise, '20s and '30s.

Any idea on the retail pricing?

Same as other titanium razors, $395. This design would be way too heavy in stainless.

It shaves like a Paradigm. Smoothly, with ungodly efficiency. I'm not just blowing smoke. Used a Feather Pro. Kamisori and Schick Proline blades on the way. I'm not sure yet if it will fit blades with wire guards; will find out.

One bug. Changing blades not as easy as it ought to be. We'll fix it.

Very cool!!  How would you compare it to an Asylum Rx?  Assuming you have one since you are selling through Phil at Bullgoose.  I use a Schick Proline blade or a Feather Pro Guard in that razor.  This dials down the aggression a bit and makes it very smooth in use.

This is one of those questions I hate to answer. Asylum makes terrific razors.

I will say this much. There's no need to dial back the aggressiveness, as it is not aggressive as it stands. But it shaves like a demon anyway. Goes without saying that this type of judgment is subjective. YMMV

By the way, if you ever come to Las Vegas, I highly recommend a visit to The Smith Center (a performing arts center). I’m in awe every time I visit the building, which is Art Deco throughout.

That is a very cool looking building. I live across the East River from the Chrysler Building. Art Deco is very good for geometric patterns that work well on a razor handle, and I guess it's kind of becoming a "house style."
